When I first heard it I thought Columbia was "I can't tell you the way I feel because the way I feel is oh so real to me" That's about it though WAIT A MINUTE! What is he saying then? Good God! I've been listening to that song for 11 years! I could have sworn… oh, nevermind. "Because the way i feel is oh so NEW to me".

I am nearly wetting myself with laughter here... My brother thought it was Turn On The Sun, despite the title being Turn UP The Sun. Not as funny but god knows what is wrong with him. "And lights go out at the speed of sound" instead of "And birds go flying at the speed of sound". Another of my brother's. *shakes head in disbelief* I loaded DBTT on my computer through Musicmatch Jukebox & it automatically labled "Turn up the Sun" as "Turn on the Sun" & "Mucky Fingers" as "Mucky Finger." When I first heard Champagne Supernova I thought the line was "Carpeting the landslide." LOL!! Also, when I am singing along with Mucky Fingers, I can never seem to say "you get your mucky fingers burned," I always sing "monkey fingers." I don't know why, I can say "mucky fingers," I just can't sing it!

I actually misheard and misplaced the lyrics "i walk on air" from THT. I was singing it to myself one day and sang: "I can't swim, so I walk on it" which i think is a cooler lyric anyway.
Also, "the sink is full of dishes, she's got many issues on the brain" is way better than the actual one too

So yesterday I heard my brother singing: "Some day you will find me, company for lunch time" ;D And I thought we should start a thread about this... So, a few mistakes I made when I first got into oasis: Champagne Supernova: "Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannibal" Shakermaker: "Shake along with Gem" (I still say this one) Hindu Times:"'Cos God gave me soul to my rock n' roll band" Whatever: "Whatever you please , you can shoot the police if you want" It's all I can remember now, but there are a few more lol

I remember a thread like this months back.
All Around The World, for me, was "if pigs don't fly you're never gonna die"

Whatever you please , you can shoot the police if you want That's the funniest misheard Oasis lyric I've read so far! When I first got Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Little James was one of my favourite tracks off it and I was sure it went "I'm singing this song, for you and your mum, and the dog". I was 10, but that's not much of an excuse I suppose.

I used to think in Take Me Away
I'd like to be Under the sea But I probably need a phone
Was a mishead lyric, but it wasn't, which surprised me.

I had loads of misheard lyrics back in 90s when my English wasn't too good and I heard all sorts of things but can't remember them... Anyhow one by sister:
"Here in my mind, you know you might find, something like shoe, you thought you want new"

And I thought in Born On A Different Cloud the line was
"You're the hero that steals the sun"
Until a few weeks ago actually

You found you got a paperback, you get your history from Union hack
and at the end of Mucky Fingers I kept saying "cause its all right" instead, of "its all mine"

Yeah, I remember a thread like this, but I'm glad the same topic has been brought up again. Some of these are funny as shit! I have so many... Here are some that I can remember:
"I live my life in the shit and there's no easy way out" - Rock 'N' Roll Star
"I'd like to build myself a house out across the sea" - Shakermaker
"You've got a head like an ocean train" - Bring It On Down @ 00:50
"I'll treat you like a queen, I'll give you stories of three" - Digsy's Dinner
"Till the life I knew closes my eyes and says 'hello'" - Hello
"Feel no shame, 'cause times don't change" - Hey Now!
"You told me one day I'll be free And where the fuck is Ben and Brian?" - It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) @ 04:16
To be honest, the whole Be Here Now album just ate my brain.
"You swam the oceans like a child Lapped around us once awhile" - Little James
"Trampling with his horse Laughing at the thought" - I Can See A Liar
"I begged my doctor for one more line He said 'Son, what's family?" - The Importance of Being Idle
After looking back, I can't help but think to myself... "What the hell was I on?"

The one that really blew my mind was Dont Look Back in Anger,
I always thought it was :
And so Sally can wait She knows its too late and we're walking in on by And so sad to wait But dont look back in anger, I heard you say.

I remember reading the lyrics a couple of months back and my reaction was exactly the same. I always thought Lyla was 'heaven help, my mama's ill, she rings the bell for all the world to hear' Read the lyrics and it's 'madmoiselle'!

Oh lads I've got another one for you,
my mate thought this was what was said in TSOL.
Instead of "All in good time", he thought it was "Old England Time". It actually matches, have a listen.
