i sang Songbird for a long time like this; " She's a little pilot in my mind", cause i thought she's a pilot more fit after " Flew me to a past not far away" but noticed it was " She's a little pirate in my mind" anyway she's still a little pilot in my mind It is pilot. And it's "Flew me to a place not far away". i don't know to be honest. i take lyrics from single cd booklet. Epic, EICP 721 catalogue number (this in the box that 25 single cd). But your lyrics are same with official page. www.oasisinet.com/#!/music/album/songbird

There is a similar situation in IOT where he uses "to get myself some piece of mind, you know it's getting hard to fly" where 'you know it's getting hard to find' could've been used which is a much better fit.

Stand By Me
I thought it was "Said I would and I believe in one day" instead of "I'll be leaving one day".

people need to stop taking lyric booklets as the be all and end all. ive seen loadsa lyric books that are actually wrong. reminds me of the last AM album tune "no.1 party anthem"
the lyric booklet says "collar popped like antenna" but im 99% sure its actually "collar popped like cantona"

There's no chance it is pirate, though. No chance. At all.

I was listening to the Lily Allen cover of I'm Outta Time and it sounded like she sung:
"Cause if I had to go, in my high or low" rather than: "Cause if I had to go, in my heart you'll grow"
I think high or low sounds a lot better especially considering it was Oasis' swansong. Shame it makes no sense with the next lyric being "and that's where you belong."

IGBM: Proper Lyric: "build something, build a better place and call it home, even if it means nothing you'll never ever feel that you're alone"
Misheard Lyric: "build something, build a better place and call it Homer, even if it means nothing you'll never ever feel that you're a loner"

I mishear most of the It's Gettin Better (Man!!) lyrics
This is what I have always heard:
people and their wry speeches wish upon a wave that hides the sound like the northern lights teaches you to build a castle in your hand
and what she said she said to me just say the word and you'll be free and crashing in upon a wave started off the early grave
Now I know for an absolute fact most of these lyrics are wrong, you don't need to tell me (they're nonsensical even by Noel standards) but that's what I have always heard. In my defence Liam's vocals are particularly unintelligible on this song

What's the last line of Guess God Thinks I'm Abel? Come along, Let's make it tonight? Or Come on Noel, let's make it tonight?

I thought the first line of Fade in out was "get on the rollercoaster, thirteen times a day" instead of "fair's in town today". I'm still kind of in doubt so someone correct me

Let's All Make Believe: I used to think: Let's all make believe / Cause in the end, we'll all grow old Was: Let's all make believe / Cause in the end, we'll all grow up
It's something like that anyway...I've been on about 5 different lyric websites and every single one was different

I'm still kind of in doubt so someone correct me Glad I wasn't the only one who heard this. But it gets worse for me. These were when I was really young. "Someday you will find me, caught beneath the lance line" "I met my maker I made him cry, and on my soul very ask me why" "Some might say, we will find the pride of day" "You can call me anytime your seeing double." This one is interesting cause you're was your to me. Being young, didn't know what it meant to see double, so your seeing double to me meant "your twin". "You can call me anytime your twin, now you know you're not alone."

I remember when I first heard "Champagne Supernova" I was convinced that the chorus goes: "Someday you will find me company for landslide"
