I'm not surprised about Maradona words. He was always treated like a god, since football in Argentina is the main religion. He was always told he was the best player ever. People could forgive him anything he did, they'd love him to death.
He entered the trap that AFA president prepared, still thinking he's GOD. He will never understand or accept the critics, he believes he's over good and evil. So he doesn't care about that kind of things.
