schumacher is a legend. and with the current generation of f1 drivers being as skilled as they are, i think we're in for some tasty races. and after alonso took schumachers championship away i'd like to see schumacher beat him. always hated alonso - not only for that, but for that whole mclaren saga last year . Yeah man, that was a shame.

Renault cheat so badly and endanger the lives of others - but get away practically scot free.
Oh well, at least that arrogant twat Briatore has been destroyed.

Although a huge Button fan, it would be great to see Vettel make a fight for the championship. Is this a turning point for the season? Button is way overrated, a one hit wonder

Ever since 2001 since I was a ten year old kid I've supported this guy. Bad choices and moves to bad teams has hampered him over the years plus never having a consistent race winning car under him, but I've never had any doubts in his capabilities. Monaco this year for example, he raced ahead of everyone because his smooth driving style preserved the tyres so well, while everyone behind him was driving aggresively on the tyres and therefore ruined them. Not Button though. A worthy world champion in my view, and in my opinion, long overdue.

Not Button though. A worthy world champion in my view, and in my opinion, long overdue. Pretty much the same for me. Apart from I was 10 when he started in 2000! It's true, I'm ancient. I remember the big controversy in 2004 when he tried to move back to Williams. If that'd happened, it's likely he wouldn't be in the position he's in now! Throughout all the seasons his BAR and Honda team were struggling, he kept a good attitude and drove very well in cars that looked impossible to drive (his front wing breaking off in Japan 2007 without him even realising for example!). He did critisize the team but I reckon he was in a position to do so; he'd been with them for a long time, was their number one driver and was respected throughout the field. I still really like Barrichello though. I'm sure Button will get the title but I wouldn't be too upset if Rubens beat him to it.

Button ballsed up the strategy on the second qualifying round - this is going to be close.

I really hope Rubens wins tomorrow. His luck at Interlagos has been unbelievable. And if he does win, I actually hope he goes on to get the championship. We'll know after the race how likely that is! He's just such a likeable character who comes across as human while most of the drivers seem programmed and manufactured.
He's in the final stages of his career. There's a rumour he's moving to Williams, but if he retires, what better way to bow out after so many years of great driving than finally being crowned the World Champion?
Jenson hasn't blown it yet, especially seeing as the forecasts for tomorrow mostly say it's gonna rain. It's going to be close and hugely exciting - more so than Strictly fucking Come bastarding Dancing.

I would love to see Button win the championship, but if it's Rubens, then that's okay aswell. The two of them are my favourite pairing in F1. If Rubens wins the Championship, he should bow out. What a way to go after all these years.

Barrichello starts 1st, Button 14th. 14 points between them and just 2 races, but... plus all the rain tomorrow. it's gonna be a lotto!
btw, what do you think about Alonso moving to Ferrari? if he has a good car (and looks like it's gonna be the case) he'll be back to regular podiums for sure. The objetive is Schumi...

I'm in the "Alonso is probably the best driver" camp. Reluctantly though. I think he can be a bit of a cock. I like what Sniff Petrol Tweeted about the story - "Alonso says "I am honoured to join Ferrari and look forward to betraying them at some point in the future."
I'm a McLaren fan (does my avatar give that away?) so I was disappointed with his attitude when he was with them. Ferrari are also a team that doesn't take any nonsense from their drivers. Might take Alonso a bit of time to adjust to them and be up to speed with Massa but I think they'll both right at the front of the pack next year. Ferrari need to get back to winning ways!
I just hope the McLarens can give 'em a run for their money!
Who does everyone think will be joining Lewis at McLaren next year? Kimi hasn't been confirmed yet . . .

And for Alonso, yeah, its quite probably, but he needs a really good car, and the current ferrari is not the best of the grid. Maybe, if test sessions are back, we'll see some nice cars, but you never know with the FIA

Also, Alonso will no way dominate like Schumacher did, because Alonso hasn't got Ross Brawn, Jean Todt, Rory Byrne and co behind him. The current management structure at Ferrari just seems a lot weaker these days. I really hope Massa gives him a run for his money next season though. Will he crack like he did at McLaren?

I think it will be Alonso who kicks Massa ass ;D we could talk about McLaren fucking Alonso (like in Hungary 2007) but I think that's already been discussed, and we kept thinking the same so I'll take this as a bet: I bet Alonso will have more points than Massa at the end of 2010. There's no money, but laughing at the loser is always a good reason to bet

On Saturday I thought he was a disappointing champion, but today he improved a bit. At least he has put forward and tried to win as much as possible, leaving a better taste.
Barrichello, well I don't understand very well how he deflated against Webber and Kubica, and then ...
Kobayashi, has been the most entertaining for me though.

Ross Brawn should be given a knighthood - if guys like Sir Alex Ferguson can get one, then Brawn more than deserves it. Let's remember every team he's been at has seen success.
