The album is utter crap ,iexpected so much more it sounds fucking hippy,as to those thats say its a grower ,that means first time u heard it it was pretty crap otherwise ud b praising it from the high heavens ,the brutal honest truth is that bhn was the last great album the band done and please will people stop kidding themselves on the first 5 tracks r good ,think of the first 5 songs on some other albums e.g...def maybe 1. Rock 'n' roll star 2. Shakermaker 3. Live forever 4. Up in the sky 5. Columbia morning glory 1. Hello 2. Roll with it 3. Wonderwall 4. Don't look back in anger 5. Hey now bhn 1. Do you know what I mean? 2. My big mouth 3. Magic pie 4. Stand by me 5. I hope, I think, I know the masterplan 1. Acquiesce 2. Underneath the sky 3. Talk tonight 4. Going nowhere 5. Fade away THE ALBUM IS PISH!!! For me, when I say its a grower, that means that it went from my 3rd favorite Oasis CD to my #1 favorite. It has smashed my very high expectations. I can't wait to hear the B-sides and acoustic radio appearances and alternate takes on songs. I love the direction the band is going. Noel is getting his second wind, songwriting wise. i'm having that. +1

Rock 'n' roll star 2. Shakermaker Naff 3. Live forever 4. Up in the sky ok 5. Columbia morning glory 1. Hello average 2. Roll with it rubbish - ok live 3. Wonderwall 4. Don't look back in anger 5. Hey now average bhn 1. Do you know what I mean? 2. My big mouth 3. Magic piefar too long and boring 4. Stand by me 5. I hope, I think, I know I like it, but its a bit flat the masterplan 1. Acquiesce 2. Underneath the sky 3. Talk tonight good, but nowhere near the first 5 of DOYS 4. Going nowhere 5. Fade away THE ALBUM IS PISH!!! You need new ears and maybe a brain

for the record i think the album compares very favorably against Be Here Now's first 5 tracks. I never really liked D'you know what i mean, Bag it Up is a better song imo. Stand By me is the only song from BHN that i would say is better than DOYS(again we're talking first 5 songs)

ain't got nothin' annoys me! (seriuosly... i hate this song. it's so average... a monkey could write it! that song is an insult to any songwriter! rubbish!)
everything else sounds pretty solid to me.

WFTR & IOT are the only 2 tracks I love. Everything else bores me to death. Its such a shame since DBTT was amazing...I thought this one would follow suit.

I love the direction the band is going. Noel is getting his second wind, songwriting wise. gotta agree about that Noel bit. He never lost it but this album ALL of his tracks are brilliant.

Totally agree I agree with whoever said that this album would be better with all Noel-written songs, and I'm Outta Time. He's just the best songwriter, simple as that. He has songs right now that are better than To Be Where There's Life and Ain't Got Nothin', it's just fact.

Had another listen today after hearing it when i was half cut last week.
Still feeling down about it:(
Shock, The Turning and Gems tune are decent, but not great.
The rest? Very poor, in my opinion.
I'm a huge Oasis fan, have been from the start...this album though, is woeful.
Shame really...roll on the next one!!

Im really confused cos all of these negative views i really enjoy listening DOYS and especially 5 first songs are all fuckin great. Also rest of the album is great (little hidden gems like falling down in middle of ok not much oasis sounding songs wich i still like, kinda new sounding oasis and its ace).

This album is very addictive.. I can listien all day all the way through, unlike the last 3 eforts.
Bag it up and The turning is as good as anything on DM, IMO.

I have to say that imo it's easily their best effort in a decade or so, tbh, when i listen to SOTSOG, Heathen Chem and DBTT, i see them as having a few standout tracks and the rest is just average, but with this album I can listen to it all the way through, only track that tempts me to skip is Get off your high horse lady.

this is the worst album they have done without a doubt. it gets very boring, very quickly.
Not one song on this album will still be played/talked about in a few years.
DBTT for all its faults had TIOBI on it which is one of the best songs of this century in my opinion. Lyla and let there be love are classics also. This album has none.
Stop the clocks and Record Machine are twice as good as anything on this album, yet he puts crap like Nature of reality and aint got nothing on it instead.

Could have done without Ain't Got Nothing, Nature of Reality and TBWTL... Just replaced them with I Believe In All, Boy With Blues, LDSMD and Who Put The Weight.. even thou we heard the last 2, it would've made for a better album.. IMO

Stand By me is the only song from BHN that i would say is better than DOYS(again we're talking first 5 songs) i love the fact that on both albums i can listen to pretty much every single tune. morning glory was great but looking back some of the tunes arn't that good. i agree with noel that roll with it isn't that good and having two bits of the swamp song didn't really fit the album. as well she's electric is good for a laugh, but it just doesn't fit on the album.. morning glory would have been almost perfect if they took out those tunes and put in acquiesce the masterplan and round are way. and tbh stand by me just annoys me these days. i find it hard to believe that people like it and don't go away so much. DGA is a good tune musically but its lyrics are fucking awful.

I like the album and it's obviously nearer oasis's best stuff but i find the album a bit joyless.
If this is their Revolver I hope their next record (SGT Peppers) has heart, warmth and contentment.

Can't stand High Horse Lady. I've tried liking it and it's just so blech. Lyrics are shite as well. Almost Liam-like simpleness from Noel. Only song I have a problem with on the album.
Even Mucky Fingers was better than this.

I think it would have been better released as a live album. Most of the songs on the album would sound great live but after a few listens in your living room, it doesn't drag you along with its energy like DM, WTSMG, BHN and HC did/do. The songs are varied but the album as a whole isn't - too direct and forceful. The last track doesn't stick in your mind when the current one is one. Releasing Falling Down and Out of Time on a seperate album with similar tunes would have made a great album. The rest doesn't fit. The songs are too short and rushed on the whole, but would be perfect for a live set up. It could have been their Live at Leeds, but i guess they didn't think of that.

I hate to say this but I find listening to the whole album a bit of a drag. They seriously need to lighten up for the next album.
Actually, drop the serious bit.

NOTHING negative about the album. Best album EVER!!! All great albums until now had pretty bad songs: Revolver had 'I want to tell you' and Morning Gory had 'Hey now'. But DOYS got 11 classic top songs. imo Best album ever!!!
