Hey. I was thinking about starting some kind of namelist and send to the band requesting that they play at least one song from Be Here Now on their upcoming tour. I miss that so much, it really is an amazing album och fantastic live! What do you guys think?

They definitely can include a non-overplayed song in the setlist, just as they did with Bring it on Down during the 05/06 tour.
As for BHN, Noel played an acoustic gig in Moscow last year (I was there and it was immense!) and when he did "Don't Go Away", the crowd was ecstatic! You can see it here: . I, however, doubt that they'd play it during an electric live gig.
My joint No. 1 Be Here Now song for the upcoming tour is It's Gettin Better (Man!)/My Big Mouth, although Fade In-Out would much better suit their psychodelic/groove sound concept
If they were to play a single from Be Here Now, I'd vote fore DYKWIM or AATW
Man, Be Here Now is a helluva album.... love it!

I'd love them to re-introduce Fade In/Out, actually anything from Be Here Now. The gig shown on MTV at the G-Mex is probably my favourite gig. Be Here Now tunes were born to be played live, its a crime that there not!!

I couldn't concur more. I would love to hear any song off BHN, but they won't do it. I hate to be negative, but Liam can't sing anything off that album anymore. Noel could pull it off, but Liam is not an option.

The thing is that for some reason Noel hates that album so much. And he decides the setlist. Liam loves that album so I dont think he would have a problem with it. I would love to hear MBM, DGA or BHN. I remember Noel talking about that in some interview and he said that it doesn´t seem that the crowds miss the BHN stuff at all. I think he is so wrong. WE WANT BHN!

I'm not sure if he hates it... i remember an interview where he said something to the effect of 'dykwim rocks, mbm rocks, aatw rocks, igbm rocks, but those are the casualties' or something. The excuse he's used for a while has been length of the tracks, but i'm not sure that really holds up, songs can certainly be shortened. To be fair, he hates morning glory too

I want to hear DYKWIM, but I'm not sure Liam could get to the "I met my maker" part.

Noel could pull it off, but Liam is not an option. It's a shame, but I really agree with you, Liam can't sing the early stuff anymore, that's why they don't play any BHN tune, or Slide Away, Some Might Say, etc...

I go along with that, but it really seems like they stick with songs from DM & WTSMG mixed with 6 or 7 tracks from the latest album. On the HC tour they played The Hindu Times, Force of Nature, Hung in a Bad Place, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, Little By Little, Born on a Different Cloud and Better Man, yet on the DBTT tour they dropped the lot but surprisingly brought Songbird into the equation.
I'd definitely like to see more of an emphasis on BHN at live gigs, not just the occasional Stand By Me. It's a shame, I think it was such a great album and it's way overlooked.

I want to hear DYKWIM, but I'm not sure Liam could get to the "I met my maker" part. My favourite part in any Oasis song ever that bridge is, fucking love it.

they played DYKWIM on the 2002 tour for first 5 or 6 stops, it sounded awesome and it was down a half step so he could hit the bridge high note
same thing with Some Might Say, but they kept that all tour and it was mega
off BHN I'd love to hear Stand By Me or It's Gettin Better Man... both of which I think Liam can still sing in the original key

To be fair, he hates morning glory too That's funny, but here's the proof (of, if not hatred, but rather annoyance): (From the "Live Forever" movie) Noel Gallagher: [describing the success of "What's the Story Morning Glory?" in the UK] I personally think "Definitely Maybe" is a much better album. And for the life a me, I can't understand... why, in this country in particular, that when people were going to buy "Morning Glory", they didn't buy "Definitely Maybe". And I'd just like to say, [looking directly into camera] Noel Gallagher: where do you fucking get off on that? You know, when you go to HMV to buy a copy a "Morning Glory", you don't buy "Definitely Maybe". What's that all about? Ya know, do you just do it to piss me off? I'd... I would... It's a source of... I could just sit and think about that for hours. [points at interviewer] Noel Gallagher: Have you got "Definitely Maybe"? [pause] Noel Gallagher: And "Morning"- See? Now, you... I can understand that... People are fucking weird. www.imdb.com/title/tt0358569/quotesAs for Be Here Now, I totally agree with Liam on that: “If he (Noel) didn’t like the record ('Be Here Now') that much, he shouldn’t have put the fucking record out in the first place," added the singer. "I don’t know what’s up with him but it’s a top record, man, and I’m proud of it – it’s just a little bit long.” www.nme.com/news/oasis/25184BHN live rocks, anyone who's seen GMEX can agree!

From watching videos of Oasis concerts, BHN was by far my favorite opener from what I saw. That'd be a great way to get the energy level up and get the "groove" feeling going. I think I have a similar opinion as most people, i just want them to mix up the set list a bit more. and please don't play "my generation" as a closer. I'd much rather hear an oasis track.

from what i understand they have rehearsed lots of Be Here Now songs and B-sides before the DBTT Tour but just never played them.
I believe Andy said that in an interview once.

WE WANT BHN! Actually that was in the past. Nowadays, Liam gets to decide the setlist since there are lot's of songs he can't sing. if you compare the DBTT tour with the Glastonbury concert during 2004 you will see that nothing changed, expect from the new songs from the album... it means that Noel tries "hey let's play Slide Away" and liam goes "No fuckin' way, i can't sing it... let's do Songbird instead".... the only "new" old song from the tour was Headshrinker and they dropped it in the first gig. Later they swop SCYHO for LBL (again, probably cos' Liam couldn't sing it anymore) and than for Masterplan, both which noel sang.... Of course Noel has a big say in the setlist, but I believe nowadays thay are more worried about which songs Liam can perform, not those the fans miss most

Be Here Now is a fucking great record! Noel should definitely embrace it more, coz it's fucking rocking!!!!
The Tracks I'd most like to hear of that album is All Around The World, D'you Know What I Mean, Don't Go Away (Noel and Gem semi acoustic), and I Hope, I Think, I Know (Just because it hasn't been played live before).
