Problem is Liam probably can't sing most of the songs off BHN anymore. The only songs I can see him still doing decent live are My Big Mouth, I Hope I Think I Know, BHN, and It's Gettin Better Man.
And frankly, aside from maybe IGBM, I'd rather see some new stuff of DOYS

Noel said they couldn't do IHITIK live back in 97 b/c it was too high for liam, i don't think there's any chance he could do that now

Noel said they couldn't do IHITIK live back in 97 b/c it was too high for liam, i don't think there's any chance he could do that now Well in that case, then there's really only 3 songs he's capable of singing and IMO, I'd rather have the A+ Liam version in my head then listen to him butcher the song forever. But that's just me

I love Be Here Now!!! I know it was over-hyped/over-produced or whatever but i think the album is great from start to finish and i think it's Liam's best vocals! Stay Young should'a been on it though!! Yeah, i'd pick Stay Young to be played on the new tour from the BHN era!!!!

But that's just me They could do what they did to Some Might Say in '02, drop it down a few keys. That's not to say the '08 version would beat the original studio version vocal wise, but if they decide to do it, I'm all for it!

We're going to get the same standard setlist this time around: 2-3 from DM 2-3 from MG 0 from BHN 0 from SOTSOG 1 from HC 2 from DBTT and the remaining 5 or 6 from DOYS oh, and My Generation as an encore........ again 2-3 from DM = live forever , c & a (AGAIN) , r 'n' r s 2-3 from MG = wonderwall, dlbia , mg 0 from BHN 0 from SOTSOG 1 from HC = songbird 2 from DBTT = tiobi, lyla and the remaining 5 or 6 from DOYS *yawn* BINGO!! You read my mind exactly with those song choices ;D

quote] I agree I would kill for Be Here Now.... I think other than not being able to sing some of the tunes... Noel has said in the past that Liam has a lot of trouble remembering the words to songs, I mean there is a bootleg (which I cannot not remember for the life of me right now) that liam forgets the words to wonderwall, YES WONDERWALL LOL. It might be good for Liam to get a book, or a teleprompter like a lot of lead singers have... As a matter of fact, Liam did have cue cards on his monitors for the last tour. From where I was sitting behind the stage at MSG, we could see him move a card from the monitor to the floor after each song. If you watch and videos of live performances, you might be able to see the same thing.

I'd love to hear him do The Girl In the Dirty Shirt but it's unlikely. Pretty sure the one where he forgets Wonderwall is some Yokohoma gig in 2000.

Bearing in mind the band's supposed 'direction', and for the sake of achieving compatibility with the new songs, this would be my choice of the back catalogue: Live Forever, Columbia, Supersonic Don't Look Back In Anger, Some Might Say, Champagne Supernova It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) Headshrinker, The Masterplan Go Let It Out, Gas Panic! Hung In A Bad Place, Songbird Turn Up The Sun, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel

That sounds like a kick-ass set list. Except for Guess God Thinks I'm Abel.

Are you kidding me? I would be fuckin devistated if they didn't play that when I go to see them at MSG. I've never seen them live and that is prob my all time fav Oasis song...I just pray Liam will still able to squeak it out

Noel quoted from STC dvd "that is a tune that we've tried to play at just about every gig" or something like that about CS

"born on a different cloud" would be incredible to hear although its not on Be Here Now obviously ;D If I was at an Oasis concert and they started playing 'Born on a Different Cloud', I seriously think I would just leave. i'd just buy my t-shirt then if they play it.

If they bring Columbia back to the setlist I will be as giddy as a schoolboy in short pants. And if they played Headshrinker I would go nuts.
