No, its not! Its the bands track. What makes him a better oasis fan than us, why does he deserve to hear more than us. We're back to the elitist concept now!

If I upload it now, why would the other guy upload his? Wouldn't it be better for the community to get both tracks? Or have I missed something?

He claims to already have an electric demo of mos and may want something else. He may upload his song anyways though, read back a page or two and you'll see.

I have great news to share with you, everyone. Forum member llam has stepped up to the plate and delivered big time. He has turned over the electric studio version of The Meaning of Soul, and it sounds absolutely brilliant. I have never heard anything like this version before. What blows me away about it, is that it takes the song to a whole new energy level, just when I thought the song couldn't get any more intense than it already was. Wow. It's now all up to lorddontnoelmedown, as we have one of the ultimate rare tracks to share with him if he's willing to complete the deal. I will send him another PM and let's hope we can get this done today. Sigh. After all the flack and shit you faced over Stop The Clocks, why are you putting yourself in this position again, of talking about things you've been given and other people haven't and that we might get them, if the circumstances are right? The whole Stop The Clocks thing (eventually) turned out OK, but you're doing yourself no favours here.

The whole reason people were annoyed the first time was cos of a delay. You need to avoid that this time, leak it as soon as possible

Make sure you don't upload it until lord has followed through and posted his track. I don't think he was bluffing when he said he had it, but we still have to take all precautions. Mr. M- I'm always interested in making a good deal. True, my life was hell for a couple months, I had to get my phone number changed, deal with Pete Bones, Ben Howdo and the Mafia forum (as did you, I might add), etc. But to me that's all in the past. I'm moving forward and trying to track down more rarities.

No problem, quellophant. These guy Rolli is always trying to get under my skin. I think he's upset because he thinks he's a big shot, but Pete Bones and Ben Howdo didn't even invite him to join the original Mafia board, where all the major players and traders were. He just came on here to try to irritate everybody. Sadly, he got absolutely burned when he tried to claim an earlier Join Date than me. That's gotta hurt.

Well, to give him credit he must be quite high up to be holding back the verve album. Or was that just a bluff to try and convince the guy to give up a voice sample he didn't have?
I'm confused, why can't everything just be available for all? T'would be so much simpler...

To answer you question, quellophant, Rolli is known as a major bluffer by just about everybody. Every once in a while he comes through with something exclusive, so sometimes he does walk the walk. However, most of the time he's just talking the talk and claiming he has rare stuff which he doesn't.

If this clip is legitimate, wasn't there a fake review a while back that mentioned a thunderclap in the opening track?

^^ I think I remember that too, even for a demo though, the intro sounds far too cheap!

If this clip is legitimate, wasn't there a fake review a while back that mentioned a thunderclap in the opening track? Is this the one your talking about? Not another Shit Review I have been looking the board and i know that if i post another "new album" thread then nobody is going to believe this. But trust me, a friend of mine from LA which happens to be an oasis fan had a chance see a rough draft from a journalist of a local magazine, apparently something of this would be part of an article. Let It Come Down Over Me Is the Manchester band's big album-opening saga, building from quiet to loud with guitar licks that sound like the Edge fried in okra, with ominous thunderclap drumroll. Oasis make it sound so simple they make you forget how many other bands go soft trying to run this same road. The use of bass lines combined with Liam’s voice hook you immediately into a world of arrogance and independence The Boy With The Blues However, for those who like their tunes with a bit of muck around the edges and a teethy snarl, then do the right thing and get this booming out of your speakers. It s a bass lead track with s guitars angrily strewn about the track, really catchy though. Stop The Clocks Stop The Clocks is the saddest song with a spiky guitar, a slide-acoustic guitar and a watery orchestra on the back at the same time. It’s an artful, personal and hugely human track, full of life's problems, fears, fascinations and absolutions. It is Noel’ tribute to his band, to their unmistakable Oasis sound. The Roller First non-Gallagher track of the album, completely contrasting is the distorted vocals and exhilarating guitar solo with the rest of the album. One of Gem’s best Oasis tracks so far. It comes across as more like half-finished jams rather than a song, but despite of that it’s just and amazing tune. Don't Be Down It is a mid-tempo sweetness which picks up a tasteful guitar annotation to its melody, Noel’s voice fits perfectly to it. Vocals and other guitar play around this initial figure for the verses and the barely audible keys on the fade-out are a pretty touch, a brush with beauty. Against My Soul No Revolution Song nor Solve My Mystery either. This well known track seems to have been re-recorded no major changes on the solo or the rhythmic guitar. Eventually Zak’s characteristic drum abilities can be easily recognized just after the melody is flowing along with and orchestra, or at least some violins. Black As Coal Track written by Andy Bell; it is the energetic high point of the album. After a somewhat clumsy guitar intro Noel and Gem pop and lock-down with blistering rockiness. The seconds of pre-chorus are enough to make all the other rock posers turn green. Add the crushing, angular rhythm guitar and finally a band figured out how to cop that noise in a style which is fresh and pays more tribute than it rips off. When Noel’s backing vocals returns to the exuberant chorus the guitar crackles along and you will dance. Have mercy how you will shake! The Magic Can't Be Right This one sees things taken down a touch, a magnificently atmospheric ballad with a melancholic spirit. Top reminder of Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Stand By Me. It sends shivers, a masterpiece! Potentially to be a single. Out Of Time Brilliant and powerful rock song full of emotion and just stays with you. It is a short, but rocking little tune. “Guess I'm out of time/ guess I’m not the only one/ this time I will shine”. Reminds The Meaning of Soul but fully electric guitars on it and no acoustic sounds. Don’t You Ever Leave Me One of the best tracks on the record, Don’t You Ever Leave Me, is a lovely, summery number, powered along by acoustic guitar and an emotional vocal by Noel. Lyrics namechecking "Edinburgh Town" and just makes it all the more uplifting. I Wanna Live in a Dream in My Record Machine The last track of the records fades in and out like a glimpse of some ongoing narrative. The vocal and lyrics are a lonesome combination of resignation and resolve. “I’m gonna be the man I’ve always dreamed to be” sounds as bleak and foreboding as the instrumental accompaniment. It is an introverted way to close the album. It’s even a little bit scary, but with a hint of genuine and tenacious love buried somewhere within. It is really one of the finest points of the new. Despite a litany of cliché imagery and eight and a half minutes of very subtle variation “I Wanna Live in a Dream in My Record Machine” is fascinating. There is a gripping, cinematic quality to this story you’ve probably heard before. There is a beauty to the stubbornly blunt approach to complex issues.
