^You wouldn't know the truth about the original Mafia board, because you were not on it. It was created by Pete Bones (who is somebody on Soapbox you've told me in the past) and Ben Howdo. I literally wasted two weeks of my life posting and talking with people on the Mafia board. When I first found out the truth about that board, I posted this: live4ever.proboards48.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=news&thread=45958&page=1Notice how about 1/2 way down that thread, I went ahead and leaked all of the rare songs which had been posted by others (like Two-Rok and Mick Dude). Why don't you ask somebody else, say Mr. M, who it was that created the original Mafia Board. Or are you too afraid to hear the answer? |

I've been on several boards of different bands, and never have I come across such selfishness! Shouldn't all fans be one big community instead of subdivisions which find them selfs the ''elites'' of a community? If you have a bootleg, demo or something else it was never yours to begin with, why keep it for yourself? Why tease the fans? To me the people that are keeping ''rare'' demos/bootlegs behind are egocentric and narcissistic at the same time.. i mean starting up a special board for special people sow that they can trade special tracks... sounds lame and childish...

But then they would still have all of the songs and we would have nothing. I think serious action should be taken! Literally, track down anyone who claims to have something, make them prove it and then dip into a fans donations fund to buy it for everyone. This could be an ongoing thing rather than a one off leak every now and then.
Frank, would we be able to set up some kind of anti-mafia site where we could do this? We may be able to get the hoarders on there if they knew they were being paid off! Get back to me, I think thsi could be quite successful! There's a lot of stuff, apparently, to win back for the fans...

It's sad it has to come down to something like that, but I can't seem to think of a better idea. How would we go about doing that though, I'm really crap at using computers. I know a few people on these kind of boards that have claimed to have some rare stuff, so it would be worth starting there. Any progress on mr, laptop? P.S. What do we call it if we aren't allowed to say mafia? |

The version features the full band with a psychedelic feel and with the same lyrics as the known acoustic demo, I suppose it's from SOTSOG demos era.

We can call it the Anti-Mafia Board if you'd like, but I'm not going to have time for a couple days to search out free forums on the net. Are those other two songs assured? Is it 2moro they get released? Blueice, I PM'd you but I think this idea we have here is good. Every time we uncover a song from someone on the board we use it to coax something outta someone else who has something. Double our money assured, I like this plan. Its been a successful thread after all! Mines normalyl all get ignored or closed cos theyre too similar to something else...  |
