The CD IS a part of a 2 disc collection, I only have 1 of the 2 Cd's, I'm not sure if it's the 1st of the 2nd, I'm guessing it's the 1st as DBTT is cut short at POTQ, the CD was blackmailed from a "friend" of mine. Here's the full story:
I was on a week's holiday from work so i decided to go to my local pub "the good mixer" in Camden, London. There i bumped into an old acquaintance, who is the manager of a well known female UK artist also a not so well known UK guitar band, the last time i saw him was backstage at Milton Keynes, so we were catching up n I starting ribbing him about not having oasis listed in his favourite bands on his myspace and the conversation got on to STC n how they only played it once at Zanzibar n it's oasis mecca, he's like "I got that!" i dismissed him continuously thinking no you got SCYHO n you don't really know the difference. Thinking it's all drunken shit being spoken I just let it go n think nothing more of it.
Anyway pub closes we end up going back to mine, me, him, guitarist from the Datsun's, bass player from darkness, friend of mine. So we're up all night "living life!" making him watch every single oasis DVD, then Lennon tribute gig, about 6am get the neighbours banging on my door, so he says lets go to mine.
So we jump in a cab up to muswell hill, party continues... gets to about 8.30am put on itunes through his stereo i remember "oh! let me hear that song you reckon you have!" FUCK ABOUT!!!! He's only got it!! Stop The Clocks is coming back at me through the speakers... i sift through many tracks, some demos, some heard, some unheard, the begging commences which he, in front his muso friends, is sticking to his guns... so I'm straight on the phone to some of my more unsavoury friends, thinking one way of another I'm gonna get these fucking cds. as the the afternoon is way under way they start to flake out one by one and leave until it's just me and him so i begin to ask about where it came from and this is what I know:
His gf, who was with him at Milton Keynes, used to work at Sony and this is where the cd came from. The 2 cds were labeled 'oasis demos' dated January '05, the only songs i remember where the ones i posted about, but definitely were other tracks but the titles weren't as obvious.
Talk turns to his current work and out comes this Brit award for his female artist, See pictures above! I can tell it's his prized possession... so after yet more chatting shit, following suit, he flakes out then falls asleep on his front room floor... finally I've got the opportunity I've been waiting for... i think fuck! how do i burn a cd... i ring my pal, he talks me through it... i manage to get the 3 new tracks n 2 other demos from 1 of the Cd's.
Walking out the door, for comedic value, i think I'll take the Brit award down the pub with me! I walk to the bus stop, 13mins!!! to wait... heavily under the influence I'm paranoid n impatient so going to Marks n Spencer's in Muswell Hill n demand a cab... what seems like an eternity, i think they've seen the Brit award n they've called the police, i panic n go back into the high st and jump on the 1st bus that comes... a 43, it only goes half way to Camden so i jump off at Archway n jump in a cab which then takes me back to the "the good mixer".
There i bump into pals, also avid oasis fans, I tell em of my night n what I've heard. some believe me some don't. i don't care either way... about 6pm i start getting phone calls from the guy who's Brit award i have... i deny i know anything about it to begin with the he starts to panic n he's gonna lose his job... so about 10pm i go home with a few pals, one of whom is VERY close to the band, to "live life some more" in that time i get on the internet like an idiot n post what I've heard along with my email address n phone number... not a good move!!!
what happens that night is a blur... someone (rolli i think) talks me through ripping the CD through itunes (yes i am that clueless!) i share 3 tracks i have... TUTS n MOS with who i don't know... all i know is 1 person only has STC! (Erin/Vixen/Mijacogeo) under strict instructions not to leak or share without my consent, she was staunch to begin with and I said I would reward her loyalty, we spoke nearly everyday and she was extremely supportive at that time and in return i would part with another track.
Finally after 2days on it, i go to bed...
I am woken at 6am by a banging on the door... i open my window and look down... there are 2 police officers at my door... they inform me I'm accused of stealing a Brit award, i deny any knowledge of it, they say they have me on CCTV in muswell hill Marks n Spencer, 43bus, Inverness st n in possession of the award and i have 48hours to return it to it's rightful owner or be arrested... "i'll see what i can do" is my response.
I go downstairs and look for it, can't see it anywhere... go to my phone, there's a text message from my very good friend and landlady of the good mixer that she's had the police at her door seeking cctv of me which she denied. I ring around my friends about 8.30am and luckily someone's got it in their car...
I realise there's a wonderful opportunity n text the rightful owner and inform him the only way he's to get his beloved brit award back is if he parts with the 2 cds... he reluctantly agrees...
6pm that evening he's turns up at my house, the exchange is done, i rush to my computer put in CD 1... the track listing is as above... i put in the 2nd cd... ARGHHH! it's exactly the same as the 1st... i bombard him with abusive text messages n try ringing him but to no avail... he says he's hung over n it was a genuine mistake... that he'll email me the tracks... 2 days goes by he still hasn't... complaining it takes too long for emails to send... i offer msn, to come to his house in a cab, anything to get the 2nd cd, communication ceases n all emails, txts or calls fall on empty ears.
reluctantly i give up!
Since then my life has become a rollercoaster of highs n lows and hopefully this post will finally put to bed all the rumours that surround what exactly happened, The one and only person i shared all of the tracks with was Erin Knight/Vixen/Mijacogeo, she made a schoolboy error of letting mouth almighty, Rolli, listen to Stop The Clocks, who then started a hate campaign against me trying to mount pressure to leak all of the tracks, that was something I never intended on doing, my intentions was always to share with the fans privately without it being "leaked" publicly and attracting all the attention that comes with it. Again another big mistake was to public post the lyrics, I wanted to see what kind of reaction posting the genuine lyrics would generate and what ppl thought of the lyrics without actually knowing 110% that they were Liam/Noel penned.
Despite all of the negative feedback i got when asking for advice n doing my research, I went with my head n traded with Steve Hall/Frank Lomax/Timekeeper, STC for STC live with a promise that i'd share the rest of the 'new' tracks depending on his level of responisiblity with STC. I must say when doing the swap there was a point where he had my track and he cancelled his as it wasn't the improve audio level version i requested, effectively he could have fucked me over so in his defense i must say he kept to his word and sent me over the track.
With tension mounting and an amazing amount of abuse I endured after some deliberation I decided to 'go public' with the already released tracks, I initially wanted Mr Monobrow to host them on his Demos page, as i thought a scoop like that would be well welcomed, understandably he didn't want the limelight and declined, then i looked to the soapbox but unfortunetely at the time went down, some say because of the anticipation of the imminent leaks.
Then it was Chris n Mono who suggested Stoptheclocks.org, a smaller lesser known oasis forum, so i passed on the tracks they did the business, I joined up n my debut post was the leaking of (LDSMD Liam Vox). In return they would protect me and remove any incriminating threads. They also asked to for the new tracks which, at the time, i declined to part with as i wanted to let the publicity of these tracks dying down 1st.
Also every person i spoke to at the time surrounding the release of these songs i always asked the question: Q. What would you do in my situation? their answer scared me... A. Leak the songs for everyone, not really the answer i wanted to hear at the time n regret not sharing with them then as with hindsight i would've actaully preferred them (new songs) to go the same way as they respected my wishes and were extremely cooperative in everything i said. I felt in control with them...
With the euphoria that surrounded these tracks going public, somebody then leaked stop the clocks, my opinion is it was Steve Hall/Frank Lomax/Timekeeper, which he vermently denies despite informing everyone, specifically Rolli, that as soon as a studio version arises then he would leak both versions. I cannot and will not prove this, it is only my opinion.
By this time I was introduced to, by Erin, an admin of Soapbox, Ben, who was very helpful and i took advice from regarding everything, I finally made the the decision to bring Ben in, and sent him TGNOMTGNOY, and again in return he said that he too would protect me, and even now, he has kept to his word. Unknown to me, Erin had shared IWLIADIMRM n STC with Ben n
It seems the excitement got the better of him and couldn't keep these tracks from his fellows fans any longer, with STC already in the open he thought went ahead and open the flood gates.
the rest we say is history, since then there has been loads of rumours, this is the definitive story, there are no more tracks in my possession, yes at the time i was angry and said there were more tracks. I just didn't want it to go down the way it did, i haven't spoke to Erin since, not because i'm annoyed, yes i'm a little disappointed but we simply do not have anything to say to each other, there were rumours that she was planning to sell the cd on ebay, also she was only planning to extract all the tracks i had then to leak them, that could be the case with the timing of everything that happened, from the short time we spoke i'd like to think that she's better than that and with Ben owning up to it this can't have been the case.
Steve Hall/Frank Lomax/TimeKeeper I have mixed feelings about, whilst doing my research on him I came across lots of varied opinions, at 1st he appeared to me as a genuine stand up guy, even discovered THE thread he discovered STC live, i envied his determination to seek out that needle in a haystack which obviously paid off, also, as i said before he showed honesty when it came to the trading of STC, since then unfortunately i've seen a different side to him, he says got himself involved in the wrong crowd (pete bones, howdo, mickdude, Flomax) and he's being blackmailed, some say they are the SAME person, he's also like to be centre of attention stating he is in the possession of JGO Live Cardiff, Magic Ain't Right and Let It Come Down On Me, he keeps passing on personal emails from me to try to incriminate me on inet forums for the leaking of the tracks, luckily i have now been able to stem the flow of these kind of things happening, yet he mentions my name at every given opportunity, i would very much appreciate it if in the future this could stop happening.
So for all the people that add me, email me, PM me wanting to know what happened... trying to antagonise me... read the above... my intention was always to share the tracks but didn't want all the shit that would come with it i.e press, so just to clear things up, presently there are no tracks, i don't have the album, yes i made up album title, tracklisting, to see how far lomax would go and see if he was still in with these oasis fanatics, i'm not in with the band, I know a few people around them but i'm not in the know, I have met various band members new and old and their friends but they are very dubious when it comes to outsiders and are very reluctant to talk about oasis, so for now, I only know as much as you do, I was just in the right place at the right time!
Jamie x
Ps. Thinking about it now I should've just fucking lifted his ibook! instead of the brit award! then again there's always burglary
