i never once said we are going to win it
i just said that theres a chance. and there is. you cant deny that. if its mathematically possible, why give up?
heh, im just shooting for Arsenal to get 80+ points -- if they achieve that i couldnt give a shit if they are in 2nd,3rd, or 4th. We got 67 pts last season, so to do 13pts+ better will show that we have indeed improved and a warning to the rest of the Prem to look out next season.
This Arsenal team is only going to get better.

It would a giant disaster for Man U to throw the league away now. Chelski are imploding and don't look like catching them, but the buffer between them, Liverpool and the Arsenal should be enough. I can't see Fergie pulling a Keegan.
Still, it was a cracking game and I thought on balance Arsenal deserved at least a point - but to nick it at the death was sheer fucking poetry ;D

Chelsea have completly lost form, liverpool are bound to have another dip. as for arsenal playing some great football but 12 points is just to big a gap (man u have only dropped 15 points this season), but if they keep thier form up second is well within reach.

For United to win the league, depends on some big games, all AWAY from home
Liverpool Chelsea Pompey Spuds Manchester City
All "ifs and buts", but if we assume Chelsea to take them at the Bridge (big assumption, but still) then a 3 point lead with away games to Liverpool, Spurs & City doesn't sound nearly as commanding.
Who knows though... All I care about is Arse doing well, 2nd place isn't an unrealistic target, but would be happy enough with 3rd and a couple of good cup runs.

Arsenal & MLS club agree link up
Arsenal have announced a new business partnership with Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids. The deal is designed to build Arsenal's brand in the United States, while also helping to develop the MLS club.
"This is a very important step for Arsenal as this becomes our first venture into the US marketplace," said managing director Keith Edelman.
Colorado Rapids are owned by American billionaire Stan Kroenke's company Kroenke Sports Enterprises.
Arsenal already have a similar tie-up with Belgian side Beveren as well as an academy in the Ivory Coast.
The arrangement between the two clubs includes the development of a Centre of Excellence in Colorado, the transfer of coaching ideas and the launch of the Arsenal Cup, a club tournament open to teams from all over the US.
The deal comes just days after Liverpool's takeover by American tycoons George Gillet and Tom Hicks, and represents an increasing trend of American businessmen linking up with English clubs.
Manchester United and Aston Villa are also owned by American business tycoons, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said the deal was completely different to those takeovers.
"Unless I'm completely naive it's not a takeover," said Wenger.
"I've never heard about a possible takeover and I don't think that is at all behind our partnership."
"We develop a few partnerships sometimes with football schools and sometimes with clubs.
"We're trying to extend our brand and we're are also trying to extend our technical cooperation because the Americans might produce some players at some stage and that's why we're doing it.
"We're always trying to develop young players."
The Rapids will come to London to use Arsenal's facilities for six days while they continue training ahead of the MLS season which starts in April.

I saw this on another forum, and thought I would share it with ye's. I fucking love Spuds fans sometimes ;D LMAO fucking idiots That is AWESOME. Could the real reason for the scribe's ire be that Spurs are actually just fucking shit and are having another poxy year where their elevated league finish of last season has been exposed as the fluke it was? Arsenal are so far ahead of Spurs it is comical. They can't beat a team full of our kids, so screw em. ;D

the fuck was that?
how lackluster can you get? BOTH teams
i dont give a shit about the result becasue we can overcome that in the second leg, but what the hell did i just watch?
and im going to say this now....
Henry is either: a.) having a bad season b.) doesnt want to be at Arsenal c.) is now past his best
fucking hell. I know he scored 4 in 4 upon his return, but even in those matches he was quiet. If he doesnt show is quality soon, i may start saying we need to do a Vieira with him and sell when we can get good money. Come on Thierry, show some fuckin desire.
Not the best way to set up a Cup Final against the Chavs.
Damn

Wow I'm surprised Arsenal was this weak (especially the midfield, they lost every single ball?!). I never see English football so I don't know exactly how strong Arsenal is, but with this performance PSV will have no problem beating them. I felt that PSV was a bit scared in the first half, but they won't be next time since they know Arsenal is beatable. And next time, PSV has a proper attack with Farfan

news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/6569561.stmVice-chairman Dein leaves ArsenalArsenal vice-chairman David Dein has left the club with immediate effect because of "irreconcilable differences" with the rest of the board. American billionaire Stan Kroenke has bought 9.9% of Arsenal and more shares from major stakeholder Danny Fiszman. It sparked takeover talk, but chairman Peter Hill-Wood played down moves. He revealed remaining board members, who own 45.45% of the remaining shares, had agreed not to dispose of their shares for at least one year. In a statement, Hill-Wood said: "On behalf of the board I would like to express our gratitude to David Dein for the many years of loyal service he has given to the club. "We sincerely regret that irreconcilable differences between Mr Dein and the rest of the board have necessitated a parting of the ways." Earlier in April, ITV plc announced that they had unconditionally sold their 9.99% shareholding interest in Arsenal Holdings plc to American Kroenke's KSE UK INC. Kroenke Sports Enterprise have also co-owned American Football franchise St Louis Rams following their relocation to Missouri, while NBA side Denver Nuggets and the NHL's Colorado Avalanche are now too under the group's umbrella. That development was not seen as the first step towards another American takeover of a English club, although the move to buy ITV's stake came less than a month after KSE stated they had "no interest or intention" of buying into Arsenal. Both Dein and fellow director Fiszman had previously stated their intention to keep their shares. _____________________________________________________ Fucking hell

Interesting situation with Dein going. If Arsene stays then I am not too bothered (as long as we get someone in there with some brains in time for the Summer transfer window - we need to buy some players, no matter what AW says!!).
Sounds like it had been coming for awhile. Dein was against moving to Ashburton Grove and got shot down over that, and was also apparently welcoming the advances of Old Stan Kroenke, which the rest of the board wished to repel - can't say as I blame them.
Still, he served the club well for 20+ years. Well done, Dein. Now naff off.

I know you all discredit my opinion by now. But we have been shit. I truly believe this is the worst team under AW. 1997/98, 2001/2002, 2004/2005 were all special teams. I see no Overmars, Petit, Bergkamp, Pires type players in this current squad. The last 2 summers has led to our downfall. 1 player brought in in each: Hleb and Rosicky. Added by Walcott, Adebayor, and Diaby. Not good enough. We need experienced players now. We have young players to last the next decade, but until they mature in 2-3 seasons, we will be stuck as a mid table team. i hope we use him (Baptista) as the DM...kick that piece of shit that goes by the name of Gilberto out...never liked that fucker when was the last time Utd won the league? sorry, Fergie is a spent force....dont judge him over the first 5 games, judge him over the last 3 or 4 years, his record is not up to the standards Bump.
