New season, same old story.
I know you all discredit my opinion by now. But we have been shit. Sure, we deserved more vs. Villa and City, but the fact that we dropped points to both teams speaks volumes of the shape we are in.
I truly believe this is the worst team under AW. 1997/98, 2001/2002, 2004/2005 were all special teams.
I see no Overmars, Petit, Bergkamp, Pires type players in this current squad.
And if AW doesnt think he needs to buy a DL, he's fuckin blind. Yeh, Clichy will be back from injuriy in Oct/Nov, but playing Hotye is fuckin us up, and the games in the begining are just as important as games at the end of the season.
Henry was shocking today. He's clearly not match fit, cos if he was he would have scored ATLEAST 1 of those many shots. And i'll say it one more time, he should not be captain. Just bc your a good player doesnt make you a good captain. Captains need to rally their team. Adams was a great motivator, and Toure would be too....Kolo should be captain imo
AW knew Cole wouldnt play for us since ATLEAST June, yet he couldnt spend all that money that's been mentioned?
The last 2 summers has led to our downfall. 1 player brought in in each: Hleb and Rosicky. Added by Walcott, Adebayor, and Diaby. Not good enough. We need experienced players now. We have young players to last the next decade, but until they mature in 2-3 seasons, we will be stuck as a mid table team.
I'm not saying AW should be sacked, but i am questioning whether he's cracking up now? He's done wonders for Arsenal FC and Football in general since his arrival, but last season, along with the begining to this one has been dreadful. He needs to sort it out fast before i lose 100% in the man that i trused and had faith in for the last 8 seasons or so.
Djourou, as promising as he is, simply doesnt cut it either. He wont stop Sheva, let alone BARTON.
I'm highly dissapointed.
Where was the desiire today (1-0 loss to City)? shaking my head in disbelief. 1 point from 6 pts is horrible. We need to turn it around and fast.
It's not over yet. 10 games is the mark where teams settle down and the league takes shape. But after the first 2 games, we have a lot of work to do.
Keep the faith.

it is only 2 games in, give it a month, and personally, id drop Henry until October, hes been playing injured for too long, and its unfair on the player, Van Persie needs to be played more, if in a few weeks its as bad, then its panic stations

live4evr, you need to relax, this is near enough the same team that got to the final of the champions league, yes the start to the season has been poor, but it WILL get better and Arsenal will not be a mid table team.
You should not think that AW is cracking up, as he is one of the best managers around and is building a new team. It takes time. Just look at Man Utd, a few poor seasons by are high standards, all the idiots wanting Ferguson out and for the last half of last season and the 3 games this season we have been the best team in the premiership. I am sure AW will turn it around he is to good a manager not to.
And as for Henry he makes a great captian as he leads by example, he has the respect of all player, and has proven himself time and again. Captains don't have to be the ones that shout the loudest.

Simple!, stop fucking playing 200 passes before having a pop!, we would have won both games in the PL if we had done that!. I was at the Villa game and Villa were entirley owned, we hit the bar had one cleared off the line, likewise vs City RvP smacked the post and Toure the bar, creating chances aint a problem, its FINISHING THEM! too much overplaying. The team will take time to adjust to the massive pitch at the emirates and a little luck would no go amiss..BUT we have to shoot, buy a ticket as they say, Lampard has so far got himself a dodgy deflected goal (as usual!) and a duff penalty but they went in!

Aye, I was also there last year when Bobby attempted the "passed penalty" and that didnt work either!!!, RvP is entertaining though and his Cruyff mockery in the Zagreb game was choice. and at least he shoots!, remember Brummies at the Bury last year we knocked the door all fuckin day then RvP came on and smakced a double deflected shot past Taylor for a 1-0 win and all three points!...Bought a Ticket! Hleb is the worst bloody culpret the guy can beat everyone but has no clue where the goal is or how to shoot!

what the fuck are West Ham doing with Tevez and Mascherano? The question on everybody's lips at the moment... It's like Real Life Championship Manager as I read somewhere! Abramovich has a heavy interest in MSI. MSI own Mascherano's and Tevez's contracts, and thus has the right to dictate to whom the players can and cannot join. And I don't think the players themselves chose to reject a host of top clubs interested in them, in preference for Wham. There's no room for them at Chelsea this season, but if they do well, fully expect them in those filthy blue tops next year.

NO West Ham have signed them on permaent deals!!!!!!!!! Holy fuck I just read that! Must be a get-out clause.... the statement said: "The pair have been signed for an undisclosed fee and put pen to paper on permanent contracts with the Club this afternoon. All other aspects of the transfers will remain confidential and undisclosed."

Lets just see if we land Galas and the Beast from Madrid before the midnight hour!..get the money grabbing mercenary and the homesick Spaniard outta there NOW! Oh and how the fuck can the BBC open an investigation into our affairs for a feeder/bridge LOAN to Beveren, when West Ham land £30million of talent from one of Abramovichs financial investments with clearly a view to influencing either a Chelsea buyout or West Ham buyout!

v pleased about the Reyes/Bap swap
and will be satisfied with the Cole/Gallas swap should that happen too
its a bit sad tho - that Reyes never fulfilled his great potential, and that Cole turned into a massive vagina
the prob, though, is that we arnt deepening the squad, we need to ADD depth.....but atleast we're now adding experience in Bap and Gal
Rosicky, Baptista, Gallas...not a bad summer afterall

Cole, Pires, Bergy, Sol out Rosicky, Baptista, Gallas (I PRAY!) in... Given the emergence of some real talent coming through the youth levels, I'd happily settle for that. Hopefully rid of that c**t once and for all! Can't wait till Chelski play at the Emirates, the amount of abuse he'll get will be brilliant! ---------------------- I haven't seen too much of Baptista, wonder if Wenger will use him in midfield primarily or up front.... Maybe RVP will be out on the wing a little more, who knows

Eh Baptista? a big player who couldnt cut it in a country where you have more time on the ball? a country where David Beckham could play Central Midfeild, and play it well, a League where Steve McManaman did well? Anyone else worried?

If Arsene wants Baptista, I'm sure he'll know how to use him. He's going to add some much need meat to the team at least... Gallas too (provided the actually join, nothing is completed yet!)
