Just buying that for the collection but fuckin sucks to not get a proper Blu-Ray of this. They have to work out something for the future... bro up Noel! Sick of these live albums. Was already a big let down not having a proper video release of the full MTV Unplugged. Imagine we end up with just a Knebworth live CD - or DVD without any Oasis songs. Comical. I agree that it sucks we don't get bluray or at least official HD downloads but from what I gather a lot falls on Liam. He lays off Noel for a spell, Noel compliments LG on his success and Liam goes back to slagging him off on twitter, rinse & repeat.
I'd be a spiteful bastard too.

Anyone find any signed editions ? That’s what I’m waiting for. Got screwed on the mtv unplugged signed editions. I was able to get the signed Unplugged vinyl from Amazon UK but it was a horrible experience, days of dealing with their CS team so I'm not even gonna bother with any signed stuff unless it is from another seller. I recall hearing the official LG stores are terrible as well so I don't know who that leaves :/ And no way am I gonna go the eBay route, freaking savages those resellers.

It would be great if this release is true. But time will tell. But yes, it's a bit weird releasing it on the same day as Come On You Know. Correct me if I am wrong but all the folks that got tickets to Knebworth had to pre-order the album correct? So he's pretty much guaranteed a #1 with that and it would be a hell of a headline if he gets a number two with this gig which has been pretty acclaimed.
I don't see it happening but that would be pretty sick if they pulled it off.

WOG started it all for me so that is number one - I love Shockwave almost as much so that is number two. Can't say I really feel anything for EE, it's just there but I don't have the urge to listen to it after it is over with while I played and continue to play the crap out of the former two. Glad it got Liam a high chart showing FWIW

So are we thinking Liam does a Knebworth live album release just before Christmas? It's a good idea, as many of the people that attended would probably want or get one for Christmas, a sizeable number. It would probably perform as well as Unplugged - meaning it would chart high then fall off in a matter of days.

F*** if I have to buy some overpriced edition for Bless You, I would hope it is on a the extended CD version that costs less than $20

I don't rate the new single that high (it's my least favorite lead LG single yet) but the performance was about what I expected. Hell he did it live and it doesn't seem to be the easiest of tunes to belt out. That hat is atrocious, I think he raided the late Walter Matthau's closet

I just bought the EP on itunes for $1.99. Has the radio edit and long version of the new mix plus the original acoustic mix. Great song, I have slept on RA too long
How do his singles/albums do compared to Liam in the UK?

It's not even close but again mad respect to Liam and his team, as I've stated before without LG's solo stuff I would still hate Oasis.
What the hell does this even mean. I hated Oasis as a kid, I was a HUGE Beatles fan and thought Oasis were nothing but annoying posers.
Fast forward to Liam being interviewed on Howard Stern and the guy was a great interview, I liked Wall of Glass.
From their I went on to Yotutube to hear the rest of the solo stuff, bought AYW on release week and the rest is history.

Yeah as great as Liam's comeback has been Elvis came back from shit movies and songs like "Yoga is As Yoga Does' "Queenie Wahine's Papaya and "Old Macdonald" to cut amazing soul stuff like "Any Day Now", "Suspicious Minds" and "Stranger In My Own Hometown" amongst many others.

This is where i respectfully disagree. In the interviews i read for the second record, and they are grey enough to make it seem like Liam has major, or some input in all the songs. When in fact he probably doesn't, bar the Come on or the Yeah yeah. It's never really explained in details how those songs are written, and Liam obviously tries to not talk about it. As for the 10 track album written by only Liam Gallagher, it will happen someday. I'm hopeful. Who would have thought Liam would end up singing industry songs ? No one. So it can happen still. Hmmm, could you maybe link an example of an interview you’ve seen where he talked as if he had written most of the songs on the 2nd album? Such is my obsession I'm afraid that I’ve seen/read a large number of interviews in the last several years…and I have never once seen Liam come across like that. Totally the opposite. Liam in The Guardiian: “Ideally, you want to do it yourself,” he said. “But I can’t write those fucking big songs. I’m limited. My verses are up there, but I just can’t do that next bit." Liam in Entertainment Weekly: “I love music, full stop. I’d love to be able to write a whole album, but that’s just not the way it is. I don’t really sweat over it. I just want to be a part of good music. I’m not into music to make money. I already have enough money. So I’m not one of them persons who go out to write a song because I need to get a publishing deal. I couldn’t give a f–k about that. I just want to make good music and get out on the road and play good music to the people who come to the concerts and that’s it.” Liam in Paste: While many people are probably itching to hear an album entirely penned by “our kid,” Liam just doesn’t think his writing skills are up to snuff. “I’ve tried,” Gallagher says. “It wouldn’t happen. I’m good at verses. I can bang out verses all day long, but when it comes to the choruses, I need someone else to do that. That’s only because of the guitar playing really, so I prefer to pass it on for the choruses.” He's constantly saying he’s relied heavily on Kurstin and Wyatt and he’s constantly saying he doesn’t believe he can write an album (or at least not the kind of album he'd like to make) on his own. I can see how you might disagree with him or think he hasn’t tried hard enough, but I can’t see how he is lying. I totally respect that you find it distasteful that Liam works with “industry writers.” For me, it is what it is. It’s really hard to imagine how Liam could just have teamed up with another band after having had the Oasis experience and he felt he wasn’t going to get there completely on his own, so he found a way. Also, though I made a silly joke about it, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with dreaming of him 100% writing an album. Maybe he will. Life is full of unexpected turns. I’d love to see it happen. But I just don’t think it’s fair to say he has taken credit for others’ work unless you can produce an example. This still won't be good for ol' Andy Morris

I always thought that if Oasis had released Bittersweet Symphony in 97 as the lead single off Be Here Now and that was Liam walking down the street in the video instead of Richard; the world would have fallen off its axis as Oasis would have become too big to comprehend that truly would've been biblical

I'm at work so I can watch the clip yet but Liam spoke very highly of The Black Crowes when he was on Howard Stern, especially about CR.

I think that if you play Rockin chair acoustically it will lose half of its power compared with the original version. But he can try, maybe I just love the original too much. Shortened and acoustic AAtW potentially could be great, I think at the heart of it it’s just sweet little song and the orchestra grandiosa was unnecessary (although it sounded nice) He did Rockin' Chair acoustic for the roof session at Radio X, and I genuinely loved it. Same. I first heard that version before I heard the studio Oasis master and I still prefer the Radio X version.

Noel does not need to give permission for audio releases. Home video releases (DVD's, As It Was, etc) do need him to grant permission and he has (rightfully) denied them. So yes us LG fans lose out but it is what it is. Why is it “rightful” that he’s denied permission? We could have MTV Unplugged and Down by the River blu rays, and Noel would get the songwriting royalties, but he’s just being spiteful instead. Because even though Liam is my favorite Gallagher he has been an unconscionable twat towards Noel and his family. Some things are more important than money, Liam is lucky he hasn't gotten his lights knocked out.

YES! But please make it a physical product not streaming only like the acoustic EP. And I am hoping this is made available. to stream again because I missed it the first time around (in the US and I had a prior engagement the day it was to air here)

Definitely not a full fledged reunion but maybe a one off would be cool as they are twice the musicians LG currently employs.

How massive does The River sound? Especially the part 'You gotta scream and shout, if you're gonna work this out..' when they sing together. Love it. I think that The River always sounds great live and even better than the album version. It was the highlight of that shit Glastonbury gig LG did too.
