I still don't like "Holy Mountain" much, but "It's a Beautiful World" is a bit better. Most of the song itself is just okay-ish, and Noel's voice is kinda ordinary IMO (on both songs), but Charlotte's french spoken word part is really great and interesting. It takes the song somewhere else and elevates it, the hook of the song for me. She's a really cool woman, and a nice addition to the band. I can do without my primary school teacher shouting into a telephone receiver.

There was a fan edit I downloaded years ago (NOT the soniclovenoize version, this one is better) that was brilliantly done. He did some work in Audition to minimize the brickwall effect as well and added some bass which you can actually hear now in the mix. It's the only version I listen to and it's my favorite Oasis album. Here are his notes: OASIS - BE THERE THEN Original album: Be Here Now (1997) What’s wrong with the original?: I’ll let Noel Gallagher handle this one. “It’s the sound of a bunch of guys on coke in the studio not giving a fuck. There’s no bass to it at all. I don’t know what happened to that…and all the songs are really long, and all the lyrics are shit, and for every millisecond Liam is not saying a word, there’s a fucking guitar riff in there in a Wayne’s World stylee. Fucking air guitar gone mental. But Liam thinks it fucking rocks.” What’s different about my edit?: It’s missing 13 minutes of repeated choruses and identical instrumental breaks. I’ve also tried to fix the clipping caused by brickwalled mastering. How does that change the listening experience?: The songs don’t overstay their welcome anymore, which makes their melodic charms more readily apparent. The production is still overblown, of course (undoubtedly an attempt to up the ante after (What’s The Story) Morning Glory) but the enhanced dynamic range does allow the arrangements to breathe a little more. For example It's Gettin' Better (Man!!) is a much more concise 5:13 Any idea where I could download it? I'd like to hear what you think after you've had a chance to listen Cheers

you know NYC- it may well be closer to 9 in the city that never sleeps- everything runs later. in past shows he has always been very prompt- but people were still filing in after 8:15p. show ended about 10:10? pretty long by Noel solo standards- at least compared to the days when he didn't have as much solo material to play. Set looks like 20-21 songs. That is pretty song. I hope I'm in my seats by 8:25 PM. Diggin out my cosmic pop tonight. Fairly easy and orderly filing in to radio city, we queued up around 7:30 outside, inside by 7:50 in our seats, cocktails in hand. Noel hit the stage by 8:15

Good gig at Radio City last night - bit of a lull towards the middle of the set which you could feel in the crowd which was way up for Fort Know/Holy Mountain, picked up with the one two punch of Little By Little & TIOBI which were both massive sing alongs. GLIO seemed to confuse some newbies but I felt it went over live better than what I've seen online and DLBIA (again, massive sing along) & AYNIL were a great set closer drive.google.com/file/d/1OObaJ1P_0CyDOIE1Fn-UXfygVbxy7FFo/view?usp=sharing

Just wow...God like genius for sure. You Better Run was just a different tune tonight and it's incredible just how far this band has come since June. Dirty nasty filthy rock n roll.

Oh right I forgot how the Irish Mirror was a reliable source that totally had a chat with Peggy! Peggy is just starting up the hype train FOR HER OWN SOLO ALBUM. You heard it here first kids. X I can see the poll now: Which do you prefer: AYW, WBTM or "Peggy Sings Wonderwall & Other Oasis Hits" ?

How the fuck did you lot manage to narrow it down to 18 songs? I tried to make an iTunes playlist last week and gave up somewhere around the 45 mark. It's impossible to make a REAL Oasis' best of with only 18 tracks. The fair thing would be 50 tracks. My "best of" playlist currently stands at 65 tracks.
