Bottom line is between Noel donating the profits he's made from DLBIA since the bombing and Liam performing at the charity gig and donating his money from the Ritz concert, both brothers have shown their love for Manchester and, even more importantly, helped the victims and their families from that tragedy. So, can we just put an end to this and go back to getting ready for Liam's solo album and then Noel's new album? How dare you say something sensible around here. |

As I said, I think they kinda rushed it. They should have listened to the 1997 live version of it a bit more. The guitar solo in particular is a disgrace. Yeah it wasn't very good. Isn't it Jay that plays it? The other guitarist seems better. |

Listened to it again today and I stick to my words: best gallagher-related album of original songs since BHN. By-a-fucking-mile Standing on the Shoulder of Giants? Dig Out Your Soul? NGHFB? BE? Better than all of them for me. Better production and no bad songs. All of them albums have at least a couple of crap songs on them. |

After listening to it a few times i really like it. It could have done with bit extra in the chorus and a better guitar solo but all in all pretty good. But it definitely isn't the best Oasis related song since Be Here Now  The video is cool as well. |

He's definitely not much of a song writer. But he's a legendary guitarist. Jimi Hendrix is a legendary guitarist. Jimmy Page is a legendary guitarist. Eric Clapton is a legendary guitarist. Gem Archer? Not on the list. He's still a good guitarist and good enough to play Noel and Oasis songs. |

Hmmm... End of the day, Noel WROTE those songs. They are classics. However, what made them classics in the first place is Liam. So it's fair game. Liam can write a very good song. He just hasn't got great choruses in him. But he smashed it out of the park tonight from what I saw so hopefully we'll all be pleased come October! yeah, people always bring it up, who wrote the song and bla bla, but as Liam says, when he starts to sing it, he claims the song. Its his, he is making it! Come on guys, Champagne supernova, when noel sings it, it puts people to sleep, but in that moment Liam went in that studio (glad it was filmed) and sung it, it became classic. Hes special. Noel is a great songwriter but he would not be as good on his own or with an average singer... You really are a moron. |
