The lighting on that shot looks gorgeous....doesn't look like it was taken by a busker to me!

P.S. the bag is like a super simple black canvas tote bag with the logo on it. The jacket is top...both me and my boyfriend got one! Bag was $20 Canadian and the Jacket was $90 Canadian...worth every penny!

Also, we have a friend who was working backstage and passed the guy right after it happened (when the police had him on his knees for like 15 minutes back there) and he said he looked really fucked up on drugs and alcohol to him and that you could just see the crazy in his eyes.

Also, someone (I think it was on this forum) said the guy approached him in the crowd before it happened earlier in the day and that he was stinking drunk then too. Also, apparently they didn't beat him up backstage (but sure would have liked to...problem was too many manager types about to do that).

Nah this one was back in 2006....which I'd imagine was the first time he helped him out. I'm a little surprised at Ashcroft that it happened again...I mean I can believe it happened back then after the breakup, etc. but we JUST saw the Verve here on tour and they obviously played TDDW perfectly...so...weird...maybe he's just screwing with Liam at this point to get him on-stage

On a side note he was also very concerned with how his voice sounded that night and even went as far as to apologize for any breaks or cracks, to which I reassured him he sounded great to me. But he is arsed about his voice, so I'd imagine that cig was prob. a one-off.

To be fair to Liam, all last week I saw him around quite a bit and he wasn't smoking once that I saw. Also, backstage in Montreal when Noel was smoking up a storm, Liam wasn't...and I don't think he was even drinking either.

Damn - I really wanted to listen to those again via Youtube...I wonder why they were taken down, considering they're being posted by the Japanese Sony site...right?

They were pretty good - one thing I loves is how into the whole thing they really were..they weren't just doing it for the money! I wonder how much they got paid for this...

It's very cool what they're doing - I hope they continue to play the songs even after the album's released!

Hey sneekylyric078 - first make sure your point and shoot can be set to manual (which just means you can change the ISO, F-Stop and Shutter Speed. If you can do that, set your camera to the following settings and make sure the flash is OFF (three reasons...1 - you're too far for the flash to help you, 2 - it looks like crap and stage light it always better and 3 - security is way less likely to catch you!) ISO - Set it as high as it will go...ideally 1000 or 1600, but a lot of point and shoot cameras won't go over 800 iso. Just go as high as you can...this means you will need less light to make your image. Shutter speed - Set it as slow as possible but still quick enough so your photos won't blur. I'd recommend around 1/125th of a second and see how it looks...you may have to slow it down a bit but try not to go too much slower than that or you'll end up with motion blur. Aperture (F-Stop) - Set it as low (or as wide) as possible...this allows for more light into the camera, and your depth of field will be pretty shallow, but it's more important to get as much light in the lens as possible at a gig. See if it'll go as far down as f2.8 and if not, try f4 or whatever your lowest setting is. Please keep in mind that it also depends on how far you are from the stage, how bright the lights are, and what colour the lights are..i.e. you will almost never get a good image during a song with red lighting only...it's the densest colour of the spectrum. Blue isn't great but you can work with it. The best is white light whenever it comes up...i.e. look at the light on 'Shock of the Lightning' from this most recent tour and you'll see what great lighting looks like. Hope this helped!
