whats the deal if he is smoking ? i smoke when i drink so pretty much all the time when am at home but when am at work i dont or around non smokers

To be fair to Liam, all last week I saw him around quite a bit and he wasn't smoking once that I saw. Also, backstage in Montreal when Noel was smoking up a storm, Liam wasn't...and I don't think he was even drinking either.

On a side note he was also very concerned with how his voice sounded that night and even went as far as to apologize for any breaks or cracks, to which I reassured him he sounded great to me. But he is arsed about his voice, so I'd imagine that cig was prob. a one-off.

For one Noel doesnt sing as much as Liam, although I have noticed that Noels doing a lot more "backing vocals" literally on every song, a heck of a lot more than in the past tours...so yeah, Liam definitely needs to cut down DRASTICALLY on his smoking habits. But, most importantly, Rkid and Noels style of singing is diffrent. Im sure if Noel wanted to project his voice in the same vein Liam does, Im sure all this smoking would catch up to him. |

It doesnt matter too much if Noel still smokes. Keep in mind, the main reason why Liams voice is the way it is, Is because of his singing stance he had for so long. Knees bent, Mic Up, Neck Up straining the vocals chords. Liam sang the exact opposite of how your "supposed" to sing. While It worked for a while and looked mad cool, thats what really hurt his voice. That kind of strain and singing from the throat has caught up to him

His singing stance killed his vocal range, his smoking killed his lungcapacity (that's why he's always out of breath). However, I do think his voice has greatly improved compared to the DBTT tour. If he can keep this up, I'll be more than happy |
