Now that I have a nice big picture of the album cover as my computer wallpaper, I've noticed a couple things, that are a bit strange/creepy...but nonetheless interesting and great imagery.
First, in the right hand, to the left of the thumb, it appears there is a Muslim looking woman, perhaps wearing a cloak, but the eyes really make her appear menacing in red.
Second, pretty much in front of the bitten apple, is that a line of headless priests/deacons/bishops or whatever? Looks like it to me.
Anyone else pick out anything besides what is obvious (maybe mine was obvious, sorry if so).
When I first saw this album cover, I thought "Revolver collage sort of thing. cool". But, unlike Revolver (which was more focused around images of the band), this cover really sends some ominous vibes.

Hey, yeah, I hadn't even noticed those. It all blends together so well...
This is why collages are my favourite kind of record sleeves, if done well. Pieces like the famous Sgt. Pepper cover and the cover of Goodbye Jumbo by World Party, they're brilliant. It's always so nice to spend some time looking for the small details...
I guess it is quite a violent image, alltogether. There are explosions, soldiers, graves, tsunami waves... It's full of unsettling stuff.
I thought Oasis record sleeves had really started going downhill since Brian Cannon stopped designing them, but the ones for Lord Don't Slow Me Down and now Dig Out Your Soul have been very good again!

Check the creepy baby/doll? face . . .
Just above the thumb on left hand, you have a round blob with a face . . . But look just above that - directly above the finger tip to the left of the drum . . . Its kinda hidden below the mushroom cloud

the "priests" aren't headless they have cloaks on, like monks... there is a baby, you can see it if you d/l the Dig Out Your Soul screensaver from oasisinet... the "muslim woman" is actually a statue of Mary

Liam DID in a way predict 9/11 in America HOW?! He was on MTV one time just looking at the NY skyline while being interviewed and said something like "gotta get a good look before they blow it up"

Everybody run! Oasis is predicting the apocalypse!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Liam DID in a way predict 9/11 in America I've thought in the years after 9-11 that Noel's lyric for Carry Us All ("faith in any God will only bury us all") released in 2000 was prescient in warning of religious extremist nutcases that shocked everybody in the world a year later and that we're still having to deal with today and will have to in the future. If it wasn't for these extremist fucks "faith in God/religion" they wouldn't be going around blowing up innocent people. I know Noel didn't say terrorism will be a huge issue in the coming decade, but it's funny he chose to write this lyric for the song shortly before the biggest terrorist attacks on USA who used religion as justification for their evil acts.

I think you've thought about this way too much, are you saying the Gallaghers are some sort of psychic's?! lol

At 0.25, the presenter asks him about the cover of SOTSOG.
"Twat: The cover of the album.. New York skyline. Liam: I thought I'd pay you respect and that before I blow you up and that."
Liam reminds me so much of Ian Brown on the Late Show in this clip, really surly, un-cooperative, obviously doesn't want to be on a crappy teen pop show with this condescending cock.
I probably have listened to Carry Us All way too much but that's what I think whenever I hear it - ridiculous faith in any God or Allah will bury us all, the belief in 'God' in the wrong hands will cause evil like it did on 9-11-01, or 7-7-05 in Britain.
