What was the last band you saw live before Covid 19? Mine I believe was Lagerstein, Basement Canberra. The day their alcohol licence nearly got revoked (beer bongs are a no no) technically badbadnotgood, but I went to see Khruangbin and it was a double bill, and I since I payed for both I stayed

there's no way to know the excess mortality because there isn't enough data numbers differ for many reasons in some countries they only count the deaths that occur in hospitals. in others only those that have been tested there's also less traffic so fewer ammount of accidents Which basically means none of us really know the real numbers. Which means none of know what's really going on. Which means we should all be open to opinion and not believing everything we are told. and also means you shouldn't dismiss it like it's a common flu or that you're safe from it because you're young and healthy

yes! to be young and healthy... let's focus only on the tiny small threat for people under 65 only who cares about old folks, they're gonna die soon anyway, right? That's such an overused reply. You haven't acknowledged my reply on those numbers being increased by non Covid deaths. there's no way to know the excess mortality because there isn't enough data numbers differ for many reasons in some countries they only count the deaths that occur in hospitals. in others only those that have been tested there's also less traffic so fewer ammount of accidents

This is also from your link: 'First, not everyone who died of COVID-19 is known to have died of that disease, for example when no test for the virus was conducted. And second, it captures the indirect mortality impact of the pandemic. The impact of the pandemic can overwhelm the healthcare system so that people die of other causes of death. Excess mortality is then a more comprehensive measure of the death count during the pandemic.' If these deaths are counted toward the total, then the numbers are going to be higher. More people are dying indirectly, than of the virus itself. From the link I provided: "Four infectious disease doctors in Canada estimate that the individual rate of death from COVID-19 for people under 65 years of age is six per million people, or 0.0006 per cent - 1 in 166,666, which is "roughly equivalent to the risk of dying from a motor vehicle accident during the same time period." yes! to be young and healthy... let's focus only on the tiny small threat for people under 65 only who cares about old folks, they're gonna die soon anyway, right?

No they wouldn't, because you don't risk getting heart disease by SHAKING SOMEONE ELSE'S HAND. Or by breathing into someone else's face. And so on. You see, this is what makes people "panic", the fact that this is a PANDEMIC. And about those "tiny death rates", we should really take that into consideration when THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of people all over the world have died. A 0.26% death rate isnt a pandemic. CDC Reportwww.greenmedinfo.com/blog/horowitz-cdc-confirms-remarkably-low-coronavirus-death-rate-where-media?utm_campaign=Daily Newsletter%3A Horowitz%3A The CDC Confirms Remarkably Low Coronavirus Death Rate. Where is the Media%3F %28Uq5dzc%29&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Daily Newsletter&_ke=eyJrbF9lbWFpbCI6ICJkYXZpZC5seW5uQGxpdmUuY29tIiwgImtsX2NvbXBhbnlfaWQiOiAiSzJ2WEF5In0%3D I don't know where that % comes from, the numbers are much higher: ourworldindata.org/coronavirus-------------- numbers aside, the disregard towards a fellow person because most deaths occur in "older, fat or sick" people is mind boggling. me and my mates are fine, I don't care about anyone else. fascinating behaviour

I don't usually listen to podcasts but I recently discovered Song Exploder where musicians explain how a certain song came to be, and you get to listen to bits and pieces of each instrument, isolated. songexploder.net/songexploder.net/episode-index

Killing Eve. Fleabag, Crashing, Killing Eve - Phoebe Waller-Bridge - 3/3 so far. one of the reasons I watched Run was because PWB created it but I didn't like it. it had promise but halfway through I lost interest. those other 3 are great though

it's not like it's the holy grail of NGHFB's catalogue...
nice track but no different from what's already available IMO, and as far as I can see this youtube version is only 128kbps unless there's something different on youtube play or whatever the pay subscription may be called
I don't know, maybe it's that I'm old fashioned and I prefer to own and have everything instead of depending on whatever it's made available to stream at any given time

I started s1 this weekend. I don't know why I haven't watched this one before, it's right up my alley To say it is a mind fuck is a serious understatement. just finished the series. what a mind fuck indeed all the connections and details between the characters, it's what attracted me to Lost back when it first started now I'm watching all the youtube videos about easter eggs I might have missed

Bolsonaro has coronavirus and he's talking to journalists right now *facepalm*
and now he's saying he took hydroxychloroquine and he's feeling better Trump 2.0
so I'm guessing one of two things: he doesn't have it and he's pretending to make it sound like it's just a flu that you recover easily or he's pushing that hydroxy thing for economic reasons

we're having around 2500 new cases a day, especially in the capital and surroundings. many businesses can't open, transport is restricted to essential workers. other areas of the country are better and aren't as restricted economy was bad before and it's in absolute downfall right now. I'm hoping by springtime things will return to somewhat normal

I love Killing Eve. I even liked s3 and many people are shitting on it Jodie Comer is such a great actress. You may find some old post of mine on this thread (or the thoughts thread) praising her. She's truly amazing I agree that Jodie Comer is amazing, she is the best thing in it hands down, and I have continued watching it despite my reservations. Curious though, did you not see any change in quality from series 1 to 2/3? I did, to me the writing isn't as sharp or clever. Phoebe Waller Bridge did a great job on series 1, and I think the downturn in quality was due to her not been on the writing team from series 2 onwards. In my own opinion anyway. well, yeah, s1 is the best one. but also it's new and you have a lot of room to work on. s2 was ok and s3 was very uneven but I liked it anyway (spoilers) my gripe with s3 is the unnecessary ... you know that early plot twist and the ammount of new characters they included, leaving less screen time to invest in Eve's darkest side. But at the same time there's a lot of character development for V and Jodie is amazing in the second half of the season So TheEscapist, before you leave the show completely, at least watch ep 3x05 oh, let's not forget, Jodie is also an Oasis fan
