I'd like to improve my English skills listening to an English podcast. So what's your favourite podcast? What's the main topic of the podcast?

Not a podcast, but currently I'm enjoying to listening to the Drama from BBC Learning English. So far I've listened to Alice in Wonderland, Guilliver's Travel, A Chrismas Carol, The Importance of Being Ernest and Jamaica Inn. It's just like an audio book and quite enjoyable. You can download audio and script for free on their website. Highly recommended! Also "Sheakespear Speaks" is fun to listen to. BBC website has plenty of podcasts and free download. Good luck to our fellow non-native English speaking member!

Joe Rogan Experience, over a thousand podcasts with a very broad range of guests from musicians to strongmen, the topics of discussion are fairly dependant on the guest with their experiences and professions.

The Adam Buxton Podcast.
It’s very well edited; you only get the bits of chat that are at least somewhat interesting or entertaining, instead of every word that was said, like those American podcasts that go on for about three hours. I mean, who’s got time for that?

Any Athletico Mince listeners in here? I love this podcast, and Bob Mortimer is a bloody legend. That’s the one I’ve always been intending in listening to, and I agree, Bobs one of the funniest guys ever. Love Vic & Bob’s shows, and was also watching Bobs fishing show with Paul Whitehouse which is a gem.

I've been down the Taskmaster rabbithole lately and I found Alex Horne's "The Horne Section Podcast" to have the right amount of silliness for me, check it out if you have an hour to spare.

Let's revive this thread since we've got fuck all else to do.
I recently started watching The Sopranos and I went down the rabbithole. In the meantime I found out that Steve Schirripa and Michael Imperioli (Bobby Bacala and Christopher Moltisanti) are doing a podcast called "Talking Sopranos" where in each episode they go through one episode of the series, with the intention of going through all 86. They've only just started but there's some interesting and insightful stuff in there, and there will be some special guests on future episodes.
Oh, and Robert Iler and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Anthony Jr. and Meadow Soprano) are doing their "Pajama Pants" podcast with Kassem G, and had some actors from the series as guests, so check that out as well.

I don't usually listen to podcasts but I recently discovered Song Exploder where musicians explain how a certain song came to be, and you get to listen to bits and pieces of each instrument, isolated. songexploder.net/songexploder.net/episode-index

Rishi, the host, also does West Wing Weekly along with Josh Malina, who played Will in the show. Like the Sopranos one, only this one came first and did it better (same as West Wing v Sopranos) Football fans- Totally Football Show, Guardian Football Weekly and Football Ramble are excellent.
