I'd prefer a more natural evolution of NGHFB but with Liam on vocals as opposed to trying to recapture their youth or the 90s oasis.

I’d prefer the evolution of DOYS with 2-3 birds style tracks thrown in. Like to see them bring back the B-side for the softer more personal Noel songs and the silly ones. While the main album is complex, a bit heavy and darker.

There’s no way Liam will be singing on anything like Black Star Dancing or Holy Mountain.
Noel says he’s written a stadium rock album. They know what their biggest market wants - they’ll be trying to recapture the glory days.

There are people out there who listen to Heathen Chemistry songs more than Live Forever, C&A, Supersonic, Morning Glory, Slide Away, SMS… Even She Is Love (🤢) has been played more than some DM and BHN tunes. |

If the album has songs on the same level as Falling Down, The Turning, Bag It Up, Shock of the Lightning or Waiting For The Rapture, then throw in b-sides like Dead In The Water or Alone On The Rope for good measure... I'm down. |

If it was possible to recapture 94-96 style Oasis I'd go for that option.
I'm not really a fan of Council Skies, so not keen for them to go that route either.
Modern sounding Oasis would be my preference. Rock and Roll songs with better production than the 90s.

The problem is right there in the word "recapture" imo -- even the slightest smidge of artifice or pretense is going to sound off, ring hollow. Noel said it himself back in 2001 or whenever: he couldn't write an album like Definitely Maybe now because he's not a broke 20-something anymore. If there's new music coming, it's got to come from where they're at now in their lives, whatever that ends up sounding like. God knows they have plenty of emotional material to draw from.
