I have a 'priority' standing ticket for Murrayfield but my sister got caught with the dynamic pricing carry on and her standing tickets specifically say REAR pitch standing room only so there must be a barrier somewhere. The previous 2 gigs at Murrayfield did not have a pit though IIRC. I got “in demand” standing tickets for Murrayfield also at 355£. But it doesn’t say anything about “rear”. It says; In demand standing ticket General admision / ref: STAND-GA1-“number” I can't post the pic because I don't know how to but it says REAR - standing room only

What does that mean about the platform? Will there be stands?

What does that mean about the platform? Will there be stands? It's intended for disabled people (like myself) just so that we have a place to sit if we struggle to stand or are unable to! Some of us also struggle with standard seats due to having to climb stairs so yeah, this gives us a safe alternative

Can anyone buy that ticket? Or do you have to present some kind of disability identification like in my country? ? In my country, at shows, specific tickets for disabled people are put on sale... there are few of them, but you have to present your disability card.

Yes you have to prove your disability and fortunately! That's like a car park in daily life, you don't have to think about using those places there (even if someones don't care at all...). Question of respect...!

If you buy a ticket like that, someone from Ticketmaster will contact you and ask you for proof of disability (unless they already have your details on the system)

I guess the circle is just first come first serve on the day then? Not a specific ticket required that I didn’t notice? The previous 2 gigs at Murrayfield did not have a pit though IIRC. There was a pit in 2009 with wristbands allocated on a 1st come, 1st serve basis.

This is actually worse than the way they did it the first time. I'm not sure Ticketmaster logs can be trusted.

It's a shame the band didn't opt out of dynamic pricing. Some do. Not that I blame the members themselves. I doubt they give a shite these days what people end up paying to get in, they'll be so far removed from the process. Just a shame to see tickets advertise as a price, only for people to get shafted by dynamic pricing on the day. I was one of the ones who got through and I could only buy the "in demand"/dynamic tickets. Had never heard of it before and couldn't quite believe that it's a thing. Especially when Ticketmaster have rather laughably come out saying they're so against the concept of resale. Agreed the band wouldn't have been sat down and told "by the way we're gonna fleece the fans of £350 a ticket once the demand starts" but I think the management completely knew and the greed is almost unfathomable when they're getting as much money as they already are.

Oasis have 30 years of mailing list details - postal addresses and email accounts - and probably 20 years of webshop purchase histories on record, plus the information from the last 15 years of solo career output.
It really can't be that hard to identify the genuine fans of the band... but I'm not sure the will is really there.

These 2 gigs are to appease the queues etc from who tried to get tickets (looking like from UK?) not about actual fans

Terrible way of doing things this in my opinion.

It really can't be that hard to identify the genuine fans of the band... but I'm not sure the will is really there. There's many ways you could identify genuine fans like you say there needs to be a willingness to reward or honour them fans but there never is. I love Liam and Noel but neither actually give a fuck. Nor would anyone want to employ anyone to spend the time identifying said fans. I always compare following them, especially Liam, very much like following my football team Leicester. There were times I couldn't get anyone to come with me to games (very much reminiscent of Beady Eye years) in the Championship/League One but as soon as the success started I couldn't even get a ticket. It's quite sad how you feel more attachment as a fan the less successful they are and vise versa when the popularity comes back everyone pretends they were always on board. I don't mind not liking an artist. It's your prerogative. But the way people were genuinely gleeful when Liam was failing and those exact people now enjoy this kind of success does irk me a lot.
