Why do we need another thread for this? It's probably best to have one for ticket and date news etc. since the main thread is now about Johnny Marr's hair. But it's going to be deleted if it's not needed anyway.

Anyone have any positive/negative experience with the Edinburgh venue to share as I don’t really fancy going to Heaton Park

As someone who's outside the UK, Id also appreciate a less-hyped and more practical thread about whats the best way to purchase tickets and some info about the venues. At first i thought about Edinburgh but now i read many posts saying August is not the best time for tourists - hotel & transportation wise....

Yank here, who got to see Wembley in 2000. My sister lives in the UK & I would highly recommend Edinburgh as a city to visit 10000%. The stadium is a bit out of the city center to the west, but I'm sure transport from the downtown area is available. Edinburgh & Dublin in one week for gigs would be the ultimate experience.
Heaton Park in Manchester is out of the city center too, and will be a slog to get to without a train station nearby to my understanding.
Staying in London & going to Wembley can't be any cheaper than Scotland at its peak. I never been to Dublin beyond the airport Guinness tap.

The Edinburgh gigs land during the Edinburgh festival season. Huge demand for accommodation as it is during August, without adding a couple of massive gigs into the equation! On the plus side, a number of pubs and clubs are open until 5am.
As for Murrayfield stadium, there is a tram stop right outside the stadium. The tram route goes from the east of the city, through the centre, then out to the airport in the west. Alternatively, you can walk to the stadium from the city centre in about 30 mins.

Do you know what type of tickets will be available? On ticketmaster is information about delivery - eTicket is free, but there is nothing info about other tickets. (When I bought on tm ticket for Depeche Mode there was only eTicket which was valid... only in tm app)

for those more familiar with the UK/Ireland.. if you would have to guess, which venue/location do you think has the best chance of scoring tickets? I'm guessing probably not Manchester or Wembley lol

Heaton Park in Manchester is out of the city center too, and will be a slog to get to without a train station nearby to my understanding. I went to Heaton Park in 2009. I can't remember how we got there, but it wasn't that much of a hassle - probably we took a bus to somewhere nearby. The park slopes down a bit, and in 2009 the stage was positioned so that it was lower than the back of the area. Because of this the stage was visible from everywhere, and the audience at the back could see over those in front. And when the show was over, there were numerous busses to take us back for free. This time I'm thinking of going to Wembley because I try to get seated places.

Only thing stopping me from Dublin over Wembley is two shows vs five shows. Having a hard time gauging which ones will be more difficult to get

My friend in Manchester went to Heaton Park in 2009 by a bus which was organised by a bus company, so I'm pretty sure that same will happne this time too.

Everyone who are still waiting for the code for the pre-sale ballot, don't worry, it'll arrive soon. Oasis management is still... 80 Pounds is a bargain. Damn, mine is over 12 hours now and have still not received anything same here

Hoping I am wrong though They should have a pre-sale for parents, we're all old now after all And maybe create a day care center at wembley so we can leave the kids during the gig, how mad would that be
