The NY Post quotes the Sun. Take the report with a grain of salt. We shall see on Friday, I guess.

"Oasis don’t want a repeat of the issues they had with tickets for their home gigs but they are expecting the same huge demand they saw here" I seriously doubt this is true. They were mostly struggling to fill 8,000 - 10,000 capacity setups in the US when ticket prices averaged about $25. They’re absolutely not going to fill 70,000 seat stadia at any price, much less $200+ per ticket. The demand is not, and has never been, there for Oasis in that way. Not even now with the reunion, or with some amount of Brits flying over (which happened a good amount at east coast shows in the mid-00s when the pound was strong).

Not even now with the reunion, or with some amount of Brits flying over (which happened a good amount at east coast shows in the mid-00s when the pound was strong). Have to take into account overseas demand too No doubt there will be people that travel to the US shows (and I sincerely hope it’s a lot because American crowds in general can be pretty lifeless). That said, I think pricing will be the issue here. In ‘05, probably a 1/5 of the attendees at Madison Square Garden were brits on holiday because the pound was strong, flights and tickets were cheap, and Oasis were going through a revival in popularity. In 2024, yes Oasis are far bigger than they’ve been in 20 years. But there’s a cost of living crisis for many Britons and I can’t see there being enough diehards willing to spend a couple thousand on airfare, lodging, food, etc. to come to the US and fill up 80% of a football stadium. Especially when they can just wait for the inevitable face value resale tickets to appear for UK shows (because with 1.7 million tickets sold, it will happen as initial reunion hype quells among the general public and we get closer to show dates).

Hopefully that leaked schedule is correct as I’ve booked a hotel in New Jersey

Oasis will announce the dates for their North America tour next Friday, the Sun reported. The band are expected to play in New York and Los Angeles, as well as Chicago and Boston. A source said: “Noel and Liam will be announcing their shows in the US on Friday" "It’s going to be a handful of massive dates in major cities. Brits living in New York and Los Angeles should have a decent chance at getting themselves a ticket" "Oasis don’t want a repeat of the issues they had with tickets for their home gigs but they are expecting the same huge demand they saw here" No Toronto aka canadian date would be strange.

But it could make sense because they already have New York, Boston and Chicago on the east coast. Instead of playing in Toronto they just add more dates in Chicago and New York if there's demand.

Any other tabloid rumblings since? This friday would make sense given that it’s exactly 1 month since the initial announcement.
Seems like sort of thing management would do. Could see further international dates announced in about a month too after the NA ticket sale has been live for a few weeks.
Generally seems like the standard these days is to get as much lead time as possible for ticket sales.

Let's see. I booked hotels for Chicago and New York. The only thing i dislike about the gigs is the fact that the US crowds are usually crap.

Downsview holds 50k people. No way they are playing 2 nights and definitely not on a Monday. Downsview is a pretty residential area for the most part.

Mark you words you maybe wrong , don’t underestimate the demand for these shows.. they’ve left second dates open for a reason , much research goes into these tours.. they are also awaiting to see how coldplays London shows go before announcing anymore uk dates . Wembley is wide open next summer for these 2 bands

I suppose they will announce them once the first is sold out Yes, but it's still a "heavy" schedule to play seven gigs within ten days or nine gigs within 14 days if you include Los Angeles.
