the fact that anyone took that super bowl joke seriously is concerning Weeks ago Oasis reunion rumours still seemed like the usual fake news, so now anything goes...

the fact that anyone took that super bowl joke seriously is concerning Look we have 292 days until the show. We can only talk about drummers so many of those days 😬

Look we have 292 days until the show. We can only talk about drummers so many of those days 😬 I'm wondering if Liam should wear a hat for the reunion gigs. Maybe the Gilligan's Island hat he wore at Manchester Stadium in 2005? What do you think?

Seems to me they should have announced it the same time as the British gigs. People I know who don't talk about Oasis where thinking of going. Who knows if that's still the case weeks later. Not sure what the hell they're waiting for. Agree. Timing would have been perfect. Unless they may have something else planned to promote these shows or the rest of next years tour leg. At least drop some little teasers here and there, stay in the conversation and active on your social media channels etc. Yep they needed to strike while the iron was hot and get them announced while there was tons of hype. As it is, it's probably now more likely to be the hardcore fans waiting around for them.

As a band that play the same set every night, and could do with a visual element to help them sell a few things in America-
Why not a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas as opposed to having to cancel stadium gigs?

It's actually almost amateur hour by their management that they didn't announce the full bunch of shows for next year at least straight after the UK shows went on sale. Or even better the whole thing in the first place. As you said the buzz was unreal and I bet a lot of people who missed out on tickets would immediately have gone "Fuck it! I'm going to see them somewhere else". Especially like NYC for example for UK/European fans.
Really a massive missed opportunity! And the gigs must be locked in already as you have to book stadiums 1 years in advance usually and the whole tour of 25 must be scheduled already.
Even back in the old days deep in the 00s my impression was they could've been way more bigger outside the UK with a better management and smarter decisions on that side.

Indeed poor delivering/roll out at this point if there are more shows planned for next year like what the fuck are you waiting for? I wonder what Liam's people think as his whole promo handle was spot on over the years.
Noel should may have hired some of the U2 management for this big campaign and get rid of his stuck in the 90s crew. They were already out of touch back in the day if you have little clue about marketing/branding. Surprised they even made a Instagram for him.
Really let the first and biggest hype and buzz kinda slip away after it "broke the internet"(literally). Odd.

You think Oasis could do Kyle Field? They probably could if it was their only date in the USA. Go big for the reunion. Screw NFL stadiums, go college football stadiums… they’re usually bigger. Georgie Strait did 110,000+ in June

Maybe stadiums are off the table? A run of multiple nights at arenas would be better for the band and the fans. Wishful thinking but something like two nights at MSG would sell out in a second. And close to 40k people ain’t nothing to scoff at it would still be great press

Oasis will announce the dates for their North America tour next Friday, the Sun reported. The band are expected to play in New York and Los Angeles, as well as Chicago and Boston. A source said: “Noel and Liam will be announcing their shows in the US on Friday" "It’s going to be a handful of massive dates in major cities. Brits living in New York and Los Angeles should have a decent chance at getting themselves a ticket" "Oasis don’t want a repeat of the issues they had with tickets for their home gigs but they are expecting the same huge demand they saw here"

I would rather hear news who is in the band first before hearing about more dates !
