I think it's absolutely absurd that Linkin' Park go out with a female singer though. I think it's the only way to do it. No male vocalist will live up to Chester, it's best for them to try something new I agree, having a male vocalist will probably catch too much heat so a female one might be the way to go.. having said that I'm also cautiously optimistic for that reunion too

I think it's absolutely absurd that Linkin' Park go out with a female singer though. Why? Because Chester Bennington's voice was an essential if not the most important part of their music? I personally hate it when bands do this. It's the reason why I'd never go see "Queen" for example. Edit: my initial post wasn't specifically about the "female" part

Mate give it a rest. If that's the case, what's Blossoms got a reason to put the date on after their set? Nothing to do with them right? Oasis are back! Why would some two bit pop band have anything to do with announcing anything Oasis related? You're reaching now Cos they're likely gonna be opening for them, they have opened for both Noel and Liam before and both sets of kids friendly with them.

Who's gonna sing for Linkin Park? Isn't the singer brown bread? I can't imagine it working so well without his voice Unclear as of yet, but their announcement comes Wednesday. Rumors are they found a female vocalist. I imagine it must be someone pretty solid if they've decided to come back because say what you want about that band but his vocals were once in a lifetime Absolutely. He's a legend to Linkin Park fans Maybe it'll work but sometimes got big shoes to fill. Not to sound callous but some bands should probably end when their singers life did. Queen being another. That's not to diminish the other members, I think some things are just better left as it was.

Is theriddler hinting that only money mattered and that the lads haven’t patched things up…? Or am I reading too much into it? Theriddler, for those that don’t know, has always been correct.

It’s a re-release of a 30 year old album. Not the second coming of Christ. I don't think changing the main page of a website means a great deal these days. They can revert back to a normal website within a few clicks after they've promoted some unreleased stuff on Tuesday. People barely go on official websites these days. Don't even respond to this guy he's clearly not well.

Too early to speculate which of those rumoured songs from the 00's album build ups will be on the 100% confirmed new album? The Magic Can't be Right, Slow, Show Me Your Love?

Well would anyone be surprised? It's funny how these big reunions often happen after an expensive divorce Who knows. Could be both reasons. Maybe money brought them to the table, then they realised they've been two middle aged brothers bitching through the media and realised how daft it is and are making amends. So much nonsense can be resolved by actually just having a face to face conversation.

Edit: my initial post wasn't specifically about the "female" part it was kind of Mike Shinoda's band, though. As amazing as Chester was he was an industry plant into a band that just needed a singer. Almost all of their first record was written by Mike and his solo work has all been stellar. They're all younger than the Gallaghers, I'd hate to see them give up on a band they started as teenagers due to grief, I think Chester would want them to carry on But that's fan mode talking
