To be honest the evidence of how this has all been done is far more suggestive they're not on great terms than that they are.
Which is hardly surprising. Noel was threatening to get lawyers involved and a restraining orde on Liam. That stuff is pretty hard to just brush under the carpet.
I think the best that can be said is probably that they can at least tolerate each other for brief periods. But we know Noel is stubborn and once he's done with someone he tends to be done, I just dont think it's in his character to be able to suddenly put it all behind him and be friends again. And I'm not saying that necessarily as a criticism.
There's been multiple signals now that this is a farewell tour and no more. We should probably just accept that. Liam is bound to have some bad gigs vocally and I think that will remind Noel very quickly how he was feeling back in 2009 and he will probably be keen to get it over with to be honest. Sad but it's be naive to think otherwise.

We don’t really know anything right now tbh. Their silence is nothing unique, it’s a common marketing tactic to drip feed info as we’re still months away from the first gig. I’m not getting my hopes up yet for a new album or anything but I’m not convinced this is a farewell tour either. If Noel can kiss and make up with the guy he publicly wished would catch AIDs and die… I think him and Liam can sort it out.

When Blink 182 reunited they said they only want to do it if they can swerve all the shit they hate that added to them not getting along in the first place, one of the big ones was interviews. If they're filming a documentary we'll see everything then. They reunion is enough buzz on its own, why do we need an interview at this point?

As others have touched on the media strategy for a band of their scale is very different now than even 15 years ago.
Why would they do interviews when they can control the content and monetize it for their own gain?
They have a YouTube where they can release official content, and invariably that will be broadcast by outlets who want to take advantage of it.
Beyond this they have evidently started to make plans for a release via Amazon or Netflix regarding the reunion, so there is absolutely no need to do interviews with traditional media outlets.
The oasis brand to non the loyalist is as much about music as image, so I don’t think they’ll be taking any shortcuts in delivering good content to capitalize further on the reunion.

Netflix or Amazon Prime one or the other. They aren't stupid. They are being very calculated with this. This isn't the 90s where they were interviewed by every Tom, Dick and Harry. They will release a proper doc with all the content uve been dying for and it will only build the hype train even more leading up to the shows. Basic Math stuff here. It's not rocket science. Do you know how to do a headlining tour? Do you know how to get a record not pressed, but played? You gotta take what you can, when you can, while you can - and you gotta do it now. That's what the big boys do. Hey, man, I'd travel on a pogo stick if I thought we could make more money. We all have our roots. I believe in bands holding on to their roots. Those roots need to be augmented. Your manager here needs a manager. I didn't invent the rainy day, man. I just own the best umbrella. God bless.

maybe it's not a bad idea to avoid awkward situations or forced friendships on camera in the sick era of social media in particular I heard from someone recently they saw two social media 'influencers' in a high end London restaurant. They were a couple and dressed to the nines for a swanky night out. Well apparently, the entire evening, the pair of them sat sullen faced glued to their own phones with no interaction whatsoever. The minute the waiter came with their dinner, it was like a light switch and they posed all massive pearly white smiles. Waiter leaves, and they return to their doomscrolling with faces like smacked arses once again. All the happy clappy stuff uploaded to Instagram or whatever, get millions of 'likes'. The reality behind all of it is sad and pathetic. These shallow people, they have everything yet nothing. But I digress, if we're dying for a bit of authenticity from our celebs, I suppose we just let the Gallaghers do it their own way.

Unless they've had a falling out since Noel did his interview with John Robb, I'd say Noel and Liam are on good terms.
I was amazed to hear how positively Noel spoke of Liam in that. He slightly kicked back on John's praise of Liam's ability to grasp vocal phrasing quickly ("It's not fucking high-speed jazz, you know? It's not art rock.") But apart from that it was incredibly positive and celebratory. Warm and fond even.

And here I’ve been impressed by Oasis’ 2005 DBTT revival for the last two decades… think that’s been eclipsed lol mental times.

I’m not sure a certain Noel Gallagher would let it play out like that. I agree they probably know 95% of what they ‘should’ play but I’d expect they would this early on have some expectation that there are some songs they will need to assess further during pre production of the tour My fear is that to be 'fair' they're going to have to have at least 1 Liam song in the set list. And it's just a waste of a spot. Whether it's Songbird or IOOT, Oasis have a lot more than 20 songs far better than both. I guess hopefully Songbird will be spared since it's about his ex, IOOT will then be crush time at the bar! I wouldn’t mind hearing Songbird live, tbh. It’s a short, sweet song with a good rhythm and beat. Love that Liam always claps along to it. Please include it.

Considering that even Liam Gallagher gigs don't have any Liam-Oasis songs, I think it'll be fine. Also he's not playing Songbird again (it's about Nicole)

I don’t think they need any of Liam’s songs because they know the paradigm has shifted since the the 2000s era Oasis. I think given the significance of this reunion, the focus will be on the Oasis canon. New and old fans just want the Liam sung Noel songs and so I think instead of the later day “here’s a couple of Liam tunes”. I think we will be getting tracks like Cast No Shadow with Liam singing, instead of Noel treating it as part of his acoustic repertoire like he did in the years they played it previously.

Fully agree; that and the bsides noel sung on the record that will be sung by Liam, like Step Out. I doubt there will be much material from post 00s records SOTSOG : go let it out maybe Gas Panic if they are feeling adventurous HC : SCYHO, LBL DBTT: Lyla (maybe they will try Let There Be love for "new" content). DOYS : Outta Time or Falling Down. That's it.

Mostly first two albums with possible Stand by Me, Go Let It Out, Lyla , Importance of being Idle with a few bsides such as Masterplan, Talk Tonight, Acquiisce, half the world away (def)If they play anything off DOYS it will be Shock of The Lightening but I would think they won’t play anything off that album.Failing Down killed the atmosphere when they played it liive last tour. Put simply it will be the best of oasis and classic bsides

See Noel has finally spoken... but just shite about Man City, spewing a paranoid victimisation complex because the authorities are trying to clamp down on their corruption. Quit the divorced dad energy and chat about the music please.
Typical man of the people, he's obviously been hanging around tin foil hat wearing serial sex offender Russell Brand too much.

I’m still surprised this reunion thread didn’t break the record of most users online, still currently held by Liam’s comeback in 2017. I’d love to know how close we came.
