I'm seeing rates (already) at Holiday Inn Express' in excess of $650/380 pounds per night- if they are even available at all, sooner than later.
My buddy was able to "easily" get rooms for T Swift (Wembley shows), but that was nearly two years in advance...and they estimated about 10% of her audience was "international", or ~ 10,000.
I actually think- and many here would know better than I do- there would be a number more of "international" visitors for these shows- or more specifically- attendees who require lodging, given the distance they are going to be traveling.
He's a typical US 35 year-old male: really has zero clue how massive this band still is, over the pond. It would be hilarious to see them take down Swift's 8 shows.
Living stateside, this would be a dream vacation, but I simply cannot justify nearly $4,000 in lodging at a Holiday Inn-like place for a handful of days- then tix, eats, and airfare. $10,000, easy. Easy. Will be interesting to see what develops re dates for the US.
Have a blast everyone!

People naturally want instant info but seem to be forgetting we've got 11 months until these gigs happen. That's a hell of a long time to drip feed and try and maintain this current level of hype, if they play their cards right I honestly thing they become the biggest band in the world. Not just for a year or two like 94-95 or just in the UK, but something tangible that really cements their legacy. I haven't ever seen hype like this and I live in Australia, where they are largely not known for more than DLBIA and Wonderwall. Already there will be people around the world searching further into their archives and finding all the gold that made us all superfans. Good to know there's hype in other countries. I wonder if anyone else not based in the UK got hype going on? It's all over the news and social media here in Italy

How many more Wembley gigs will be added do you reckon? All of these tickets will be gone within minutes!

Good to know there's hype in other countries. I wonder if anyone else not based in the UK got hype going on? Trending No. 6 on Twitter/X in U.S. and is all over the media. I'll add that there's a huge vacuum on the global rock'n'roll market ATM that no one seems to be able to fill. 60s and 70s acts are now very close to calling it a day, U2 are now doing Las Vegas residencies ffs. There's something powerful and cathartic about rock'n'roll that will never be delivered by, well... Taylor Swift. Warner/Debbie/Liam were among the first ones to realize this and with hindsight I feel we shouldn't have been so surprised with Liam's success as a solo artist. This could be the biggest rock'n'roll phenom in 2 decades. I'm stoked.

Saw that as well for Edinburgh, but then it's also the same time as Fringe Festival, so it would have been pretty busy in the city anyway. I guess with these prices I have to bank on Wembley and crash on a friend's couch.

Quite surreal hearing James O'Brien do an hour on Oasis today, a show normally dedicated to politics. He was shoehorning Oasis song names throughout the show, and was impressed to catch Lord Don't Slow Me Down and Get Off Your High Horse Lady, ones that you might say aren't particularly well-known.

Yeah agree with all this. End of the day no one is going to give a shit about who's playing bass at the gigs when Rock and Roll Star is being fired up. No-one will even care about who's drumming. They just want to see Liam, Noel and Bonehead, and even Bonehead will go unnoticed by a huge number of casuals. Oh I don't know, I'd say the rhythm section matters quite a lot. i know it does. It does to me. Just saying it's not going to matter to a massive proportion of the crowd at Wembley

This doesn't surprise me. For some reason, I get the feeling Noel isn't massively keen on Andy Bell. I can't imagine he dislikes him per se, but I think he'd have no qualms about replacing him with Russ. I don't imagine Liam is arsed. I do think Bonehead will be there. Knowing how close he is to Liam, and that Bonehead and Noel are OK, it seems like he'll be there. I reckon it'll be a 3 guitar thing, like Liam solo. Noel, Gem and Bone on guitars. Sharrock seems a shoe-in, he's a safe bet. Then it leaves Russ to do bass duties. It seems most logical. I don't think they'll be too precious about having 3 guitars even though they once had 2. It's really the Liam and Noel reunion roadshow, with all due respect to the others, and they know it too. 100% expect it to be three guitars. No one blinked when Foo Fighters brought back Pat Smear to play with with Grohl and Shiflett - it filled the sound out. Gem and Bonehead makes perfect sense, especially for the DM/MG material. I doubt I’m the only one who thought the band sounded “thinner” when Bonehead’s barre chords were replaced by Gem. Also Bone’s the only other former member who features in the teaser video in close up. Not just once, but twice. He’s involved - of that I’m in very little doubt. As for bass…who really cares? It’s bass guitar. No one cares about bass guitar (though I’d have Drew McConnell over Russ if I had a choice). I agree the sound was better with Bonehead's barre chords, but that wasn't Gem's fault as he settled into lead guitar duties after joining the band. It was Noel who was more comfortable playing rhythm to replace what Bonehead did, and he preferred open chords. I actually do hope there are three guitarists for the reunion tour, and Bonehead joins the band for the entire tour. I could easily see that setup working, because everyone could be put in a position they're best at. Gem can play lead guitar on Oasis songs in his sleep, and has already been doing so for the past 24 years, effectively. Noel would have a harder time adjusting to playing lead again, and I don't think he's that interested. Bonehead can do his barre chord thing on rhythm and give the songs more power and a fuller sound. That leaves Noel on third guitar, and that leaves interesting options...including Noel theoretically playing the entire gig on acoustic guitar. It could work, as all Oasis records have an acoustic guitar as a guide track on them, and some of Oasis' best gigs had Noel on acoustic with the full band behind him, like Cast No Shadow, Whatever, and the Masterplan from Maine Road '96. All the Morning Glory songs would really shine with that setup. On drums, Chris Sharrock is the best all-around drummer for Oasis songs besides Alan White, so Chris is a fine choice. (Zak played everything too one-note). On bass it'll probably be Russ, who's the only guy who was never in Oasis, but who cares? You can barely hear the bass in Oasis anyway 😂

This makes the most sense, and the three guitars (as much as I don't like the tone so much) works well in LG's band. I would imagine they'll have a string section as well on this given they'll be playing a fair amount from the MG era ala Knebworth. You could well see two acoustics and one electric on a few songs. I love Zak Starkey, but you're right CS is a better drummer. I think Alan White is wishful thinking sadly for us.
