I'd be shocked to see Andy on the basis that he doesn't seem to have an ongoing relationship with either brother. All of Mike, Chris, Gem and Bonehead do, so they'll be easier to bring in. As for Russ: oasis has has had at various times at least 11 different people filling the 5 main positions so another one feels kinda right if anything. I'd prefer Andy to any other bass player out there but Guigsy...who is unfortunately out of the picture for a long time now.

This still feels like a dream... It does to me too. 15 years - and all that negative feeling - isn’t just going to fly by for me. But seeing that photo and the classic logo is quite something.

People naturally want instant info but seem to be forgetting we've got 11 months until these gigs happen. That's a hell of a long time to drip feed and try and maintain this current level of hype, if they play their cards right I honestly thing they become the biggest band in the world. Not just for a year or two like 94-95 or just in the UK, but something tangible that really cements their legacy. I haven't ever seen hype like this and I live in Australia, where they are largely not known for more than DLBIA and Wonderwall. Already there will be people around the world searching further into their archives and finding all the gold that made us all superfans. Good to know there's hype in other countries. I wonder if anyone else not based in the UK got hype going on?

Bonehead is liking reunion posts so must be involved. Then again so is Noel's bassist Russ. I'd guess HFB + Liam/Bonehead. This doesn't surprise me. For some reason, I get the feeling Noel isn't massively keen on Andy Bell. I can't imagine he dislikes him per se, but I think he'd have no qualms about replacing him with Russ. I don't imagine Liam is arsed. I do think Bonehead will be there. Knowing how close he is to Liam, and that Bonehead and Noel are OK, it seems like he'll be there. I reckon it'll be a 3 guitar thing, like Liam solo. Noel, Gem and Bone on guitars. Sharrock seems a shoe-in, he's a safe bet. Then it leaves Russ to do bass duties. It seems most logical. I don't think they'll be too precious about having 3 guitars even though they once had 2. It's really the Liam and Noel reunion roadshow, with all due respect to the others, and they know it too. 100% expect it to be three guitars. No one blinked when Foo Fighters brought back Pat Smear to play with with Grohl and Shiflett - it filled the sound out. Gem and Bonehead makes perfect sense, especially for the DM/MG material. I doubt I’m the only one who thought the band sounded “thinner” when Bonehead’s barre chords were replaced by Gem. Also Bone’s the only other former member who features in the teaser video in close up. Not just once, but twice. He’s involved - of that I’m in very little doubt. As for bass…who really cares? It’s bass guitar. No one cares about bass guitar (though I’d have Drew McConnell over Russ if I had a choice).

Well one thing to notice is that the only people who are shown individually in the trailer video are Noel, Liam and Bonehead. I think that's by design. I don't see this happening without him. Then, if the rumours are true, Gem and Chris are going to be there too. I wish it was Whitey for old time' sake but it doesn't seem like it for the moment.

End of the day no one is going to give a shit about who's playing bass at the gigs when Rock and Roll Star is being fired up. No-one will even care about who's drumming. They just want to see Liam, Noel and Bonehead, and even Bonehead will go unnoticed by a huge number of casuals.

All I know is that I woke up for the 3 a.m. announcement, cried at the video, went back to bed for a few hours, put my 10-year-old named Liam in his Oasis shirt to wear to school (he actually picked it out without me saying anything), started to work, started listening to Oasis and started to cry again.
I can't explain the visceral, raw emotional feeling this is bringing out in me, but I never want it to stop.

That's the brother though, not the man himself Even so, seems a lot simpler for them to just get Sharrock in. He's been there and done it with Oasis, BE and HFB and there's no past drama.

Has nobody heard? That's the lineup, just Liam and Noel, accompanied by a beat box like Ian Brown.

It'll be Matt Deighton and Scott Mcleod for sure. Chris Hutton on vocals when Liam is too hungover.

Oh it was 100% Noel, I didn't there was any doubt about that. Alan was out with Liam in Munich, which probably did for him, and then didn't turn up for some meeting or other in 2003, and that was it. From things said at the time, Alan was annoyed that Noel didn't have the stones to call him himself, but there you go. Noel has always been complimentary about his drumming, but has remarked a time or two since that his life outside of drumming was all over the place.
