YES KYLE
I think I can claim the title of being one of Gems biggest fans on the forum, stuff like this is my holy grail. After his CD demo I never thought we'd hear more of his stuff. Thanks so much for the clip!

I had a chance to meet him way back when Beady Eye played in Toronto 2011 after the gig but it just didn't line up. I brought my Heavy Stereo and Edge vinyls for him to sign and everything. Cartoon Moon is probably my favorite Heavy Stereo song and Take A Walk is a fun one as well from his other band The Edge. Edit: Heres one of my really awful video recordings from the gig, as you can maybe see I made sure to get on Gems side close to front row as I could get

Ah I see, drop me a message with a postal address mate. I'm goin to send you a little gem gift I think you'll like. What a lovely gesture mate! When I hold signing sessions i always get extra to sell on, give away to people or charity draws. I'd say I've given items away maybe 50 times in the past 12 months or so, usually if I know someone's struggling personally or it's for a kid (clearly neither applies here to Nic) ... no matter how often I see it.. I'll never not be shocked seeing some gifts go right on ebay haha. Fuckers.

Any popup sign up forms for facebook / instagram can be ignored / closed, and you can watch the video for free. If you interact with the page a little more, then it'll force you to sign up to continue.

Gem just WhatsApp messaged me. He saw the clip and confirms he has a copy. So no worries on this one It's criminal that Gem kind of got submerged in Oasis in some ways - his 90s stuff was terrific, from whirlpool through heavy stereo, just the difference between the two band's demo versions of 'sleep freak' show how versatile he is. He was a great front man too, 'The roller' would have been a great Oasis single and I really thought that Beady Eye was going to be his time to shine.
He slipped into that kind of ron wood 'sideman' role to both noel and liam though, and I doubt we'll ever get a solo album, even though he must still be writing tunes, but it would be great to have an official retrospective release of his demos from Oasis and BE.
anyway Kyle, that's a nice thing you're doing for the poster above! for the rest of us, how about telling Gem how many fans he's got who love his own stuff and asking him if can sneak us some better quality/less clipped and distorted versions of those demo tracks that SuperNovaHeights got together to buy a few years back - they're already 'out there' after all, he couldn't really mind us getting an upgrade surely

wow! Super exciting, thank you so much Kyle! Judging from that small clip, the demo sounded quite well rounded already, this is very interesting to understand the process of how LAG songs ended up on Oasis records, kinda always thought they just played a few ideas on an acoustic guitar to Noel and Noel had more of a creative involvement in sounds of the songs, but this seems not the case here.

Never keen on the studio version, but it was a killer live, especially the outro.

Never keen on the studio version, but it was a killer live, especially the outro. Agree, to me the live version of this song was their best performance together with Fade In/Out and Born on a Different Cloud. All these live solos were incredible. Thank you Kyle and what you did for NicOasis is pure class.
