I've asked Gem if he'll give us a little quote/story/memory of the recording or time in general. Let's hope eh.
I've copied the message above praising him too.
I agree I prefer thus version to the released one. Obviously that was my phone recording off the basic PC speakers.
I'll be honest I've asked Gem if he minds me adding it online.cant see why he would but I'm always safe.
Next up.... "For Anyone"

'TBWTL' is great. It's my favourite Gem track and in my opinion it holds it's own on DOYS against some really solid Noel material. It's the 'Columbia' of that record. I've read lots of people over the years saying that the remix is better or that it needs more guitars but I disagree. Album version all the way!

Woah this is amazing! Gem is a great guitar player and songwriter. I've always felt he doesn't normally get the credit he deserves for his contribution to Oasis, especially when you consider he's now been working with the Gallaghers far longer than some of the founder members! Thanks so much KyleBHome for sharing it - looking forward to the next one...

It is indeed a brilliant song. For me, its definitely high on best songs from the 2000's and on Dig Out Your Soul (probably top 3?).
I've always considered To Be Where There's Life to be a Fade In-Out type song. Probably just me though.

Yeah adding to the mailing list (massive stock upload next week), or Β£20 to attend the biggest ever collection of Oasis memorabilia and 12 - 15 of noels actual guitars on show... av a bit of that

I totally agree with you about the album version of To Be Where There's Life and I often listen to it but I do like the remix version even though I haven't listened to it in ages. I do like both versions much better than the live version.
