I would be stunned if Oasis made the Hall of Fame this year. I don't think their management is factoring that in at all. It's way too clever for them anyways. I've been saying at the start of May they will announce it. Bank 4 months of pre-sales to get another #1. The band of the 90’s. The band of a literal generation. Why shouldn’t they get in this year? Because the voting ended a few days ago and they got 10th. They ain’t doing an announcement until June I would say.

Both these songs have already been available on the official Oasis youtube channel for years. What's so special about these two "new" uploads? Remasters?

Re: Hall of Fame, I fear the decision-makers are too American-centric, and won’t appreciate how big Oasis was for the UK and many parts of the rest of the world. Growing up and living here in the U.S. and having been in college (“university”), during DM, WTSMG, and BHN, I remember only ONE dude who saw my Oasis t-shirt back then on campus and went nuts — everyone else just kinda knew Wonderwall.

Seems like we don't get the Liam-sung Sad Song version Unless the version with Liam is the demo? As far as I remember Sad Song on the album was recorded for Definitely Maybe. A Nov 92 version at Mark Coyle’s house would put it in the same batch as Married With Children so it’s possible Liam sings on the demo.

As much as it will be interesting to hear the Monnow Valley version of the album (only Slide Away ended up on the final version of the record), the absence of the Liam-sung version of Sad Song would be a major flaw.
Also: £55 for the vinyl version? I might pass on this one and get only the CD, unless it has some special features or artwork...

"Sad Song (Mauldeth Road West Demo)"
Mauldeth Road West is the address of Mark Coyle's home. I bet it's Noel singing on it though...

I remember that the director of the documentary Supersonic said that Mark Coyle was the one who gave him that Liam demo (sad song), and that studio that appears there is Mark's, so it must be Liam's version

It could be Noel but it’s the session that produced the album version of Married With Children. Noel recorded Sad Song for Definitely Maybe and I’ve never seen a mention of anyone at that session other than Noel and Owen so it is very possible that the Liam version from Supersonic is the Demo from Coley’s.
