All down to personal preference but I think it’s terrible. 2-3 ok songs but those aside almost every song sounds the same. Easily forgettable after a couple of listens. Really disappointed but only myself to blame for having such high (and overinflated) expectations.

6 right now. More redeeming qualities than for example "come on you know". But somehow it does not make me go crazy. I thin my favourite part is the first and second verse of "just another rainbow". Brilliant liam vocals and nice psychedelic layers with a cool drum and bass intro. But I really don't get "I'm a wheel" for example.

Does anyone else get an impression of Slade at times?

70% of the forum so far likes the album (7/10 or greater). Only through 16 votes, though.

But I really don't get "I'm a wheel" for example. I’m A Wheel is brilliant. Fuck off. I am here since 2010, ao i definitely won't fuck off and if there is a rating for songs I will say my opinion. I just heard roo many guitar players blooze off into the sunset to see anything cool behind that anymore.

7 for me, solid, enjoyable, nothing to really complain about except the dire Mother Nature's Song.

My first impression is an overwhelming "meh." 5/10, and I'm being generous.
Some of the songs are decent, but others sound like a bunch of throwaways. I think they could have benefitted from having Greg Kurstin help tightening them up.
No complaints on production, and Liam sounds great.
Performance wise, even the throwaways would have sounded a lot better if John was more intentional with his playing. I believe that every note should serve the song. His meandering wanking constantly took me out of the moment because they added nothing to the music at large. Two great examples of that are the intro to "Mars to Liverpool" and his solo in "Just Another Rainbow." Giving in to his worst instincts from 'Second Coming' put a damper on my enjoyment of the album as a whole on first listen.

7 for me, solid, enjoyable, nothing to really complain about except the dire Mother Nature's Song. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's not enthused about Mother Nature's Song. It's the worst on the album for me by a wide margin. It feels slower, and the guitars are less front and center, which means less distraction from the really trite lyrics. I'm a big fan of the outdoors and am a really easy sell on pretty nature imagery in songs or poems, but this is just drivel. Sincere and well-meant, I think! But drivel nonetheless.

7/10 for me right now for two reasons: too many fillers for a 10 track record, and awful mastering.
But could get higher with more listens. It's a very enjoyable record. Puts smile on the face, its been a long time since the Gallagher gave us such a record.

For fanatics of a rock n roll band, there seems to be an abundance of people on here that have a disdain for an incredible guitarist playing his guitar.

Somewhere between 6.5-7/10.
Liam's great, Squire's guitar sound/everything sonically on point.
Lyrically the songs don't work for the most part which is the let down.

Imo this album has been massively overhyped both by the media and by john It's full of dull songs with no good melodies and the lyrics aren't great either The guitars and liam's voice are pretty good tho Best song: mars to liverpool Decent songs: Just another rainbow, raise your hands and I'm a wheel Worst songs: I'm so bored, love you forever etc...
4/10

8/10 I have no lyric complaints given I've stood in a stadium singing "She done it with a doctor on a helicopter" more times than I care to remember.

Raising my note to 8/10. Good little rock n roll record. Something that has not been done in a very long time.
Needs few listen to really click.

Great album, great melodies, Liam is on fire and there are no filler. WMWN? is better but this one is terrific as well.

Not going to rate it just yet as it's still not settled yet. The usual thoughts on L4E polls, who's giving it 10 and who's giving it 1/2 ffs 😂

To me it's an amazing album.
- When I first heard Champagne Supernova in 1996, the 'why, why, why' is what got me hooked. It hit me hard. I thin the 'feels like this' line at the end of the chorus, has hit me more than anything from Liam since then. It is such a great moment in a song that just is so much fun with the upright piano. Love it so much.
-Make it Up as you go along is genius and efficient. In 2:11, it has mean lyrics, whimsical lyrics, quirky melody, beautiful melody.
- I never liked the Stone Roses but now I know it was not because of John Squire. Ian Brown's vocal, never drew me in.
-Mother Nature's Song is very nice, didn't quite live up to the hype.
- Interesting to see how they will play this live without a rhythm guitarist and keyboard player. It sounds likeit's just going to be a 4 piece.
-Not a bad song on the album Love You Forever is my least favorite.
