50 mins and that setlist...no attractive at all for me. They could at least add a couple of covers, CS and 'Love ne and leave me (which is a great fit for Liam's voice and a stronger song than anything in the album imo) I will skip this tour

I typically add a disclaimer that all of my musical posts on this forum are opinions, but if you aren’t proud of and into this LG/JS performance, I genuinely feel sorry for you. Liam’s voice is pure, blinding filth (in the best way possible) AND John gives you exactly what you need guitar wise. I’m A Wheel was already my fav on the album, but this… FUCK. YES.

It's not on the artists, they don't set the price, so it's not blaming them. I laughed. I hope you are not that naive in real life. They and their management of couse don't write a ticket price on paper and hand it to the promoter BUT... they are fully aware what tickets cost and they obviously demand XXXX quid for their shows from the (tour) promoter who they signed with. With the costs these days for everything you won't make a fortune with small gigs in general even at that price. No offense to LG/JS but they for sure get a nice paycheck for these shows they do together and it's literally not just "going on the road to play these songs to the fans". Well, yes, they could put the prices down if they really wanted to. But since you say anything against them you get pelters, I decided to take the easy route. However, it's not like tons of artists choose to do it (lower the prices).

In my opinion, part of what you're paying for at that price is the intimacy of the gig. It's pretty special these days to get to see Liam in venues this small. Fair play if you don't care about that, but I would jump on it if Liam had a gig anywhere near me. This is true. But it's also them playing the album and a cover, so it's not like it was ever going to 'hit arenas' as someone on here was telling me a few weeks back. It's a nice little flash in the pan and I'm sure they're great gigs. Liam sounds fantastic, which is definitely even more noticable in a smaller venue ofc.

RE: the price. Everyone knew what they were getting LG was upfront about it.
Plus they've gotta get paid. Album sales alone don't pay artists much these days.

Just got back from Wolverhampton, 7 hour round trip 😫 Anyway, i enjoyed, could have been longer yes, but i knew the score
I dont think alot of those songs went down well tbh. Apart from JAR, Raise Your Hands and Mars To Liverpool, the crowd (and Liam) seemed bored
Will watch them again if they play closer, but not travelling that far for an hour show again

Enjoyed the gig a lot, thought Liam sounded superb & very close to the album version on most songs. Mars To Liverpool & I'm So Bored were the highlights for me. However, the crowd was absolutely SHOCKING, i think it's because most people got tickets expecting Oasis/Roses and haven't really listened to the new album enough, so most of them were standing around not singing. I made my own fun and shouted every lyric out, i had a blast. I got half a setlist (some guy ripped it lol)
Also WOW that cover at the end was amazing, really suits his voice

Remembering someone on festival forum said his mate working on major festival heard a Liam’s Beatlesy blusey album or sth like that. and since Liam isn’t taking this project to any festival, wondering if it’s not going well and dm is the paycheck project

Most people dont care about new stuff, they just want Oasis songs played again and again and again. Imagine playing that at a festival. People would takes their phone out in 5 seconds

I’m not surprised by the quiet crowd. This all feels very beady eye’ish. I hope it does stay niche and as a project and Liam doesn’t think it’s some sort of failure and just enjoys it for what it is.

Liam seems to have found his optimal size. I think this project with Squire is the most compatible with his voice. She manages to sing naturally, clearly and without making an excruciating effort. The fact that there is only one guitar benefits him and allows his voice to emerge much more clearly.
Mother's Nature Song
JAR
JJF
YNTOO
MTL
ISB

Baffled that people go to such gigs, pay a small fortune and dont seem to know the songs or enjoy it. I mean, WTF WTF.

Beady Eye gigs were fcking mental ..the very first ones. This looks positively dull unfortunately in comparison from only the youtube videos posted though... As others stated crowd seems bored.

But the band had higher expectations. Its Beady Eye who failed Beady Eye, not the fans. They could have toured venues Noel tours now, with a bit more effort.

The crowd is not bored at all. The songs are not the stadium anthems we are used to but are raw and essential rock songs that invite the audience to listen rather than to jump and mosh. From the comments I've read everywhere, the critical point is the "duration" of the concert. For the rest they write about a beautiful evening with Liam in top vocal form and with John equally phenomenal. Whoever paid for that ticket knows very well what they are going to listen to, so there is no boredom.

People just saw Liam Gallagher tickets and bought them expecting Oasis Unless you're on this board or follow Liam's social media you wouldn't know it was just their album and a cover
