No, you're right he's not a troll. He a self-important self-centered attention whore who will say anything and everything to get people to look at him because he spent too much time stuck in his locker in his underwear in secondary school... but he's not a troll.

I guess it cuts both ways but it's always fascinating when you recognize the name of someone you interact with on social media, often, and you see them express a political opinion so far off that you realize even those you disagree in the most fundamental of things might share some of your interests.

1) "Fuckin' in the Bushes" - High-energy intro to election night in America.

2) "Lyla" - Adds some upbeat energy for when we enter hour 4 of still not being able to declare a winner.

3) "Cigarettes & Alcohol" - Good for loosening up right before the results.

4) "Gas Panic!" - Perfect for those in the not-winner candidate to let their fears sink in.

5) "Some Might Say" - For the weeks after when maybe not all electors will vote the way the results showed, some might not accept the results.

6) "Go Let It Out" - Letting out your frustrations, fears and the doom and gloom that always accompanies 50% of those in the country after these elections.

7) "Roll With It" - Time to move on and accept the result.

8) "Don’t Look Back in Anger" - To sing in harmony with each other even though half the people will never accept the winner.

In my 60+ years, I've come to realize that when people are deeply set on one extreme, it's nearly impossible to change their minds, I'm not saying don't try just know you won't likely succeed. Their beliefs aren’t just ideas anymore, they’re a core part of their identity. Admitting they might be wrong feels like admitting there’s something wrong with themselves. So when you challenge their views, it can feel to them like a personal attack. At that point, it’s no longer about reason or making logical statements, they just won't listen to you, because when you try to reason or bring logic (or attack from their point of view) to what they believe you attack who they are.

No matter who wins, in 4 years we'll have the same thing, more division and extremism.
