You are for sure in the minority here. Beady was a muddy mess. 1/2 baked songs. Poor production. Andy Bell is a great songwriter - for Ride. Not Liam. Gem isn’t a good songwriter at all. Liam isn’t too great either. and the lyrics on these last to songs are outstanding are they. Think not. Just saying what I have heard so far and I am a massive roses fan too. I prefer beady eyes tunes. Clearly you are in the minority. By demand and excitement. I don’t mind. Have at it.

I found! The beginning sounds a bit like "Be Here Now" (Song) while the chorus refers to the atmosphere of Whats The Story Morning Glory (album) and from a certain point onwards it becomes a sort of I'ts Getting Better man! I still can't believe my ears that something so beautiful could have happened! 9,5/10 for me! Good insight. It has that Be Here Now energy with good production. It's getting better man is a stormer .. So if this is as kick ass as that..Happy days!! Not heard a bit of this tuns yet...waiting till the am!

Liam can’t really do much wrong these days so always will be a big demand as he’s the only thing left out of the oasis boys carrying on the torch. So cant really compare them on demand there’s much more hype round LG these times. When oasis was together most people I know always hated Liam. Hence once they split team Noel had the demand.

Both JAR and MTL are easy, breezy songs. Pleasant listen. And would be good on the playlist for a spring/summer BBQ in the backyard.

Noel screwed up. He got lazy. And assumed he controlled the storyline. Now he seems boring. Don’t get me wrong. He always has a few great songs. But sort of like Richard Ashcroft. 4 chord midtempo stuff

How does 1st of March look for a number 1 album? Any strong releases around that time?

There were a few fans of this stuff. But. Beady had 1 album in them: Flick of the Finger Four Letter Word roller Off at the next exit Is right I’m just sayin Wigwam But most of these songs have problems. Lyrics. Is rite. I’m just sayin Production. Wigwam. Roller Awful song choices. Bring a light. Millionaire. Shine a light. None of these are relevant songs for any sort of crowd. Which brings up a topic. The topic of Deb Deb is the reason Liam is doing well. She manages his worst tendencies. Focuses him on the BIG prize. Beady Eye was a loser band. The odds and ends of Oasis. And I love Andy and Liam. But they are both way way bigger than BE. Gem level band. Deb got the songwriters. Build the momentum. Etc etc. she rebuilt his career. And how confidence. She was Beady Eye's manager as well

I like the new song, decent catchy guitar pop tune.
Liam sounds better too, because the song is much more suited to him than some solo stuff. To be honest I find 95% of his solo to be garbage that I wouldn't give a second listen to, but this is definitely better and he sounds at home doing this.
It's certainly not some 9.5.out of 10 tune, that's people getting carried away but it's pretty good.
Squire is probably the second best songwriter Liam has worked with, some Roses fans could make a good case he's the best and they had better tunes than Oasis, but that's another conversation altogether and that'd be judging Squire from decades ago. He's certainly the most suitable songwriter Liam has worked with since 2009 and it comes across in this song.
If most of the album is of similar quality then it'll be an enjoyable album. I certainly haven't set the bar of expectation as high as their glory years because that's unrealistic.

She was Beady Eye's manager as well Ok. Well. There ya go. She wasn't Beady Eyes manager. She wasn't around for DGSS, when BE changed managment before BE after they fell out with the old Oasis managment She was assigned to Liam as a PA and started a relationship with Liam. When Beady Eye folded she supported him through the divorce etc and began managing him as a solo artist.

Now we know Oasis should have hired Squire in 1999 (no disrespect to Gem). No, they shouldn't.

Really like the weird chord in progression in the chorus, and the slightly off-beat/clunky feel to it.
Liam sounds great again. Better than JAR IMO, which felt more like a Roses/Oasis tribute act.
It ain't amazing, but it's very good - and as expected, album out very quickly. Great news!

In hindsight, it is hard to see what Gem brought to the band apart being a friendly placid character who they both go on with and 'Eyeball Tickler'. There is a long list of guitarists who could have offered better tunes, challenged Noel positively on the sound and direction of the band etc. Noel wanted to The Chief though so got the two friendliest people he could find in to fall in line.
