Not listening to it more than once. I'm patiently waiting for the full high quality thing on friday On a side note, Morning Glory cover art is iconic. Its not bad, weak or anything. It's great. All Oasis sleeves up until SOTSOG (the album, included singles not so much) are amazing. MG artwork is rubbish, we like it because of what the record means to us, Be Here Now is the same. There's a bloke playing a door key ffs. It represents the 90s, and the foolishness of the 90s. I love those artworks and it has nothing to do with what the record means (or very little). They are art of their own. There are some records from that era which I love that have shitty artwork. MG cover made me daydream for a long time for the first time i would go to London, for instance. There's a lot of small details to uncover. Remember, no internet back then, i cant tell you how many hours i've looked at the cover, or the DM one, searching for clues and meaning. Same for BHN. why is that guy holding the album, is it really liam or noel ? Are they gonna punch each other ? What's that old lady looking at ? The only one i could probably do without is this one: but my favs remains DLBIA and Some Might Say covers.

It was someone from Italy who released the 2nd clip yesterday (the chorus). I'm wondering why or how they got. Perhaps he works at a Radio station and leaked it?

So, when we heard like 1 minute of JAR, I wasn't allowed to say that I don't like it because how can I say that when I didn't even hear the whole song... But if you think it's great, then you can say it. And people are doing it here all the time without anyone attacking them because of that. They are even saying that album is going to be great. Which is fine and I don't mind it, everyone should express their feelings and many times we are right. But if it's ok to say that song will be biblical after we heard like 30 seconds or 1 minute, then it is also ok to say that it will be shit. And I am not saying now that Mars from Liverpool is shite, I actually like it. Well it's probably expected that you're gonna get a bit of flack on an Oasis for judging something negatively without hearing it fully, but I agree, there's a hypocrisy when it's the other way around but that's super fans for you. I've no idea whether this album or next song when heard in full will be good or shite. All I know from what ive heard of the 2 songs is that it sounds much more fitting for Liam to be singing these songs than what I've heard from his solo music. A lot of his solo music sounds jarring to me. But whether the new stuff is actually of good quality is another matter altogether. Just because something is more fitting doesn't mean it'll be good, but I'd be surprised/disappointed if there wasn't a few good tracks because theres a decent recipe there to make something decent. Im sure it wont be groundbreaking but a very enjoyable listen would be fine with me.

Well, this is a forum for fans and not for haters, so it won't be applauded and encouraged to come here and constantly spread hate. There's already too much hate on the internet on almost any topic you can think of, so it really shouldn't be encouraged anywhere. And there's nothing wrong with sharing a critical view, but there's a difference between a critical opinion and hateful messages

Wonder if we'll hear this tomorrow. JAR leaked a day early but that was because the vinyl was received early.

I hope that this time it is already accompanied by the official video

Remember when Beady Eye released 30 sec clips of each song in the first album. That was exciting as anything. Funny I really liked those clips but when the album came through quite a few full songs I wasn’t keen on at all
And accidentally when that radio station played Lyla (waga waga?) that was exciting as anything to hear that. Just don’t get why people have to avoid the new song. The hype and buildup and teasing snippets are all part of the PR game to drum up excitement which works. !!

True story : a friend of mine thought it was the full songs because someone had looped them to make them last 3 or so mins. His comment was « cool but a bit repetitive right ? » 😂 right.. 🤪 The excitement of hearing a full song will always be better than just a 10 second clip though.

I never get the ‘groundbreaking’ thing. What are people listening too currently that is? Well there is music out there that is very original, like Polyphia, not my cup of tea, but that lad has taken guitar into some directions you rarely hear. Just like a lot of old Midwestern Emo and Math rock bands brought a very different approach to guitar to rock music. Very original things do occur in music and guitar music. But my point isn't a negative when I say I don't expect anything groundbreaking, nor do I want it. I want to hear Liam and Squire doing what they do best, which is making good tunes and delivering them in a way they do best. Too many complain if things are not progressive enough but I don't mind as long as its good. I'm sure it will get some negative reviews that it sounds like some spin-off of Oasis and The Stone Roses and The Beatles etc. like that's a negative thing, but isn't that exactly what you want from Liam gallagher and John Squire? I'd feel a bit short-changed if it wasn't that.

In saying that, I didn’t care for their most recent album. Think it’s right there with Directions To See A Ghost as their worst.

Can't comment on the snippets as I'm avoiding them until the full song is released, but I really like the artwork of the album.
It's clean and simple but well done. More in the style of the 2000's than 2020's, yet it still feel fresh. And what's more, we're getting individual artwork for each single, which is rare these days.

I do find all this ‘I’m not going to listen to the song till it’s official release’ very strange It’s called hyping up a new song. Been going on forever. Did you run out the room or turn the radio off the second they played an upcoming track in the past? I enjoy the song more if I hear it all at once, rather than in snippets. It's not any more complicated than that.

Afternoon all
Have been following this thread for a couple of weeks now and just had my membership approved.
I don't suppose anyone has seen any edit of JAR that has the singing of the rainbow colours section removed? I so want to love this song, and really like the rest of it, but I find I'm always waiting to hear that bit which really makes me cringe and I cannot get over it!

It’s a trippy, hypnotic slice of the 60’s/90’s. I think it’s fine, I’ve actually grown to like it.

I still haven't listened to the clips either as I would rather hear the song in full. Clips are a waste of time for me. On the subject of Oasis album artwork I've always loved and always will the artwork for the Definitely Maybe album. To me it's their best and fits the album perfectly.
