Wow this sounds so good Why wasn't this the first single? JAR ain't a bad song but doesn't sound like (first) single material This on the other hand sounds so promising Big chorus, great guitars This project has the potential to be the best thing a gallagher has done after Oasis I'm so happy that Liam is involved in something that sound authentic and it's not about broadway or some shit non-sense like asking what's an european p.s. how good is that chorus? so simple and yet so beautiful I really think JAR was released because it was probably the most obvious (cliche) song you could come up with if you mixed Liam, Squire, their previous bands, a bit of Beatles etc etc. I don't like the song so much, but I understand why it was a first song. It's got all the elements you expect in a way, including the long Squire solo for the Squire fans. |

Chords for the chorus of the new tune if anyones arsed.
D (with the sus2 and sus4 bit), A minor with an F# note in the root/bass (also keeping the same melody on the high E string you get with the Dus2 and 4 on the previous chord), then G, A major.
Second line of the Chorus is the same as Above on the first 2 chords. Then switches to Em, A then end on D.
So basically:
D, Am/F#, G, A
D, Am/F#, Em, A, D
Whilst picking out the same guitar melody on the high E string on the D and Am/F# chords.

I’m just looking forward to a new song and hopefully news of when the albums out. With Liam rumoured to tour with squire plus the DM anniversary tour later this year it’s shaping up to be a great year already.

Surely they wouldn't wait 7 or 8 months for the album to come out? I'd say May at the latest They did with C’mon you know, didn’t they wait like 10 months from announcement to release, ridiculous. Given LG has a summer full of touring for DM, and there's all the DM remaster etc to come in August/September, then I'd say a spring release is likely for this album. |

Especially John Agree with this and @yogurt JAR is more what you'd expect from putting Liam and John Squire together. As my Dad said, it's 'Manc by numbers', and it is. Doesn't make it bad because I think the sound and the vocals and the guitar are great. I'll never judge a song off a 40-second preview but I do imagine JAR was just put out as the most default setting thing to give a taster. |

hate to be negative but that might be the worst cover art a gallagher has ever produced on the bright side i am very hopeful for the music agreed it is. Mind you that said I've always thought that the artwork for Noel's first two albums were pretty awful especially his first album and then there's the artwork for the Don't Believe The Truth album which is crap. |
