This time next week we'll have heard the song and the weeks fly by so we haven't got long to wait now. Wait for what? The vinyl? Most fans buying it will have heard the song online by then. Once the long awaited vinyl single finally arrives most will probably just spend a minute or two studying the cover art before carefully sliding it (unplayed) into their Oasis shelf where it will sit unseen for years. What's the rush to get hold of it? Where did I mention waiting for the vinyl? I didn't. I ment that we'll be hearing it online before we get the vinyl. |

They know the expectation. And Liam would stand to lose much more than John if the album didn’t merit a release. The G Man must believe in it. Squire also has a canny knack of a) knowing when he has good material and b) finding a singer who can sell that material for him.

Liam has played a blinder here.
His solo career has been amazing, but we are now 3 studio albums deep, plus 3 live albums. Knebworth which was surely the peak has been and gone, we could well have been reaching a point now where the momentum starts to drop off…
But he has changed it up, an intriguing album with Squire has got people excited and the DM tour to look forward to. Liam just keeps delivering

Liam just keeps delivering At this point he's re-established as a big act so he can take a bit of risk, and the Squire album is one if that's the album they seem to be selling (a collab between the two without songwriter for hire). DM is probably the safest that could happen. All old acts do classic album tours, its guaranteed to sell out. Thumbs up for trying something that's riskee, he could easily have done a 4th album full of songs first written for Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. |

I reckon it might be good.
I don't think Squire would be in it if he wasn't heavily involved in all of the writing. He was known for having quite the ego, although I'm sure he's mellowed out with age and probably laid off the coke, but he's still an artist in many forms too, so I don't think he would be interested in anything other than at least having equal say over the creative process if not more. Liam has made no qualms about just singing if the song is good, so I'm sure he has no issue at all letting Squire lead the way creatively.
Squire always had a great ear for melody, even through to his solo music, so I'm sure he's got years worth of material up his sleeve with potential.

Noel got asked about Liam and Squire and it's interesting. He gets upset at the thought of Squire playing some Oasis songs with Liam on their potential gigs together but only if Squire tinkers with the Solos.

Honestly can't see Squire messing with Oasis solos and can't see Liam wanting the solos messed with anyway. If Squire plays Oasis songs he'll do his thing of course but he'll be respectful. Noel got a right to raise an eyebrow, they're his babies aren't they. Don't think they'll play Oasis songs if they tour the album anyway.

I've just watched it and I can't understand what Noel's problem is really. He himself has done enough covers of other artists music which aren't great.
