You would think at this point in Liams life he wouldn't run his mouth and say an album he just finished is better than Revolver. He's just asking for it and putting more pressure on the album and asking for more criticism. Just say it's "Really Good and I'm proud of it" lol. It's almost as bad as when Noel said "Stop the Clocks" is the best Oasis song He'd ever written before it was released. Tbh the second Liam said that I switched off and immediately realised it's just standard Gallagher hyperbole, I think the only people who are genuinely likely to believe that his album will be better than Revolver are either insane or newer fans who don't realise it's never worth taking him 100% at his word It's Liam's humor. He doesn't believe it's better than revolver. Of course when the quote goes out in print it comes across as arrogance or hyperbole but it's actually probably more self decorating at heart.

This is what I'm saying, something like that is just him being deliberately hyperbolic and jokey so when I see people online taking him seriously I can't help but be baffled that they're actually taking him at his word and failing to realise the humour behind it

He clearly doesn't care what anyone says about what he says lol. He also likes to play the media and get some people riled up and talking so...

To be honest I forgot that he even said it as I'm a lot more focused on the music and album itself and not if it's better or whatever than some other album as I don't care for things like that and the same goes for when Noel releases an album I just focus on the album itself and the music, not if it's better than some other album.

I think the fans and the media now know not to take anything the Gallagher brothers say about their own work too seriously. It’s part of their process. Make ridiculous claims and proclamations that hardly hit the spot. Im def excited for this album no matter what they say. Good or bad.

If it's better than Beady Eye's debut it's already a miracle.

"Better than Revolver" is part of the whole package.

If there’s one thing I won’t be doing while listening to the Gallagher/ Squire album, it will be comparing it to Revolver 😂
Just Liam being Liam. I’d rather he was saying that than saying nothing tbh.

Sure on here we sometimes compare Gallagher albums to their previous work but that's different than comparing it to another artists work.

No one really cares what the Gallagher say anymore anyway. It's just another headline forgotten 2 mins later.

I am excited for this album, mostly based on what Bonehead said in his interview and how it appears this album will be a bit heavier than some of Liam's previous solo releases.

Most I've been excited about a Gallagher related project in recent years. Hopefully tomorrow we shall find out the track length, most likely gonna be 3 and a half mins.

Not sure about that, the product photo shows a fully grooved vinyl. It could be a generic pic, but all others on LGs site are proper photos of the actual discs. this is Beatles Now and Then, at 4 mins doesn’t quite fill it. So we could be looking at 5 mins

Maybe it’s just me but is it on Apple Music to “preorder”? Not seeing it yet and probably should be there by now.

This time next week we'll have heard the song and the weeks fly by so we haven't got long to wait now. Wait for what? The vinyl? Most fans buying it will have heard the song online by then. Once the long awaited vinyl single finally arrives most will probably just spend a minute or two studying the cover art before carefully sliding it (unplayed) into their Oasis shelf where it will sit unseen for years. What's the rush to get hold of it?
