That Johnathan Ross interview, terrible absolutely terrible… both Liam & John weren’t great to be fair, especially John but everyone knows he’s very quiet and introverted but still, fuck mate come on just add a few more details. But Ross is a such a shit interviewer.
You’ve got 2 musical legends and you talk shit and ask ridiculous questions what the fuck were you thinking. Why continue to ask about Noel when you get the same response for over a decade - he could ask about the music from the actual album they’re promoting? Jesus Christ

I thought Liam and John dealt with the J Ross Show just fine. Johns always been like that and always considers the answers he gives first but basically he’s too intelligent for shows like this and the Dave Berry show etc where he’s being asked things like “have you got a dog?”, “have you got a cat?”, “have you got a brother?”, they’re the sort of questions you ask someone that can’t do joined up writing yet and can’t colour in without going over the fucking lines.

I would say i liked live chorus Liams voice better than album produced but both are good.

This is a top live band, the best Liam has been involved.
One of the best british gutarrist
On bass, Barrie Cadogan, a great and very distinguished guitar player who can do an stellar performance on bass
And Joey Waronker on drums. If you don´t know Joey, he´s one of the top session drummer around the world. He has played&toured with R.E.M, Beck, Atoms for Peace (Thom Yorke and Flea) and ultimately with Roger on Waters on "The Dark Side of the Moon Redux Album" and his subsequent tour.
Lately they have added Christian Madden on keyboards, from Liam´s band.
So, as you can see on this Jonathan Ross performance, this is a tight up rhythmic section. Those who are the lucky ones to go to the gigs, enjoy it! Great days ahead!

Positioning of the interview was a bit funny- there was no point for it, Tour is sold out, the album has hit number 1. There's not much more life in it anyway.
But not a brilliant interview- Liam looked like he was trying to be too cool in front of John, who was just annoying.

I wish an interview would talk more about the actual *MUSIC* in the album, rather than telling again the story of how they got to work together and so on, but I think that would take place in a more serious and specialist publication.

I get John is shy but to give those pointless one word answers isn't just being shy.
He could've expanded if he wanted to.

That Jonathan Ross MTL performance was absolutely off the charts. One of the best Liam live performances I think I've seen. So much controlled power in his voice. Wow.
And he was pretty awesome on the maracas too! Genuinely, I thought he added a real groove to it, especially on the end solo minute or so

The actual Jonathan Ross show/interview was exactly as it always is, just light entertainment with cheap laughs. I thought Liam and John came off quite well. I think Liam is so much better on stuff like this these days, I used to cringe at these sort of things ('oh f*ck, what's he just said...'), but he seems so much more relaxed these days.

In smaller venues, with a proper set up and sound, its gonna be orgasmic. Youtube played the Air studio take of For what its worth just after this and its obvious that one is 100% live and the other is reworked immensly on vocals. Vocals feels so unnatural. robotic. Really happy Liam chose to be a human singer again.

Who is the new drummer? Sounds ace. Did they fire the old one? That's Joey Waronker. Played on the album. Brilliant drummer. Drumming wise Liam's albums have been very bad most of the time. The difference a strong drummer can make to a song is huge. Just look at Everything's Electric which has the best drumming on a Liam solo track. This last Liam & John album is by far the best Liam album from a drumming perspective. Loving it. It only would have been topped if they could have got Reni out of retirement. I agree. I just found this drumming too fast paced. I would have reduced the BPM, as the studio version of Mars to Liverpool is slower.

The album is slowly growing on me, but I do think they've jumped the gun by making a full LP.
The following would have made a killer 25 minute EP:
A: Raise Your Hands Mars to Liverpool I'm a Wheel
B: Just Another Rainbow You're Not the Only One Mother Nature's Song
The other 4 tracks are pretty bad in my opinion and give me uninspired Wind Up Dream vibes, they sound like b-sides / deluxe edition bonus tracks at best.

I enjoyed that live performance. I guess i have something wrong on my hearing. Also the album is really solid and i didn't expect that. Good times for us fans to still get good music from Gallaghers. Agreed and I thought that it was a good performance.

I would also add in Love You Forever but I do agree, the album is a 7/10 for me because there’s 3-4 filler songs

I continue to listen to the album with pleasure. The fact that it doesn't fill you up 100% is an added value. Some albums that are too punchy tend to tire you out after a while. This album is so essential, raw and without great pretensions that even if you listen to it 10 times in a row you won't feel nauseated. I'm satisfied, and I hope that a live studio session will be released as soon as possible because I'm very curious to understand what impact it can achieve live.
Love you Forever is my favorite song followed by I'm a Wheel. These two songs are my absolute favorites. But I listen to them all with pleasure, except Make It Up as You Go Along which never won me over. I also learned to appreciate One Day At Time which I didn't like at first.
