Apologies if this has already been posted, and double apologies if you don't like AI tracks, but Ian Brown on You're Not The Only One - it sounds great IMO. Enjoy...

I gave the album 8/10 on first listen. After rinsing it non stop for the last 10 days I'm still at 8/10, maybe even 8.5/10. Can't tell you how much I like it.

My wife who doesn’t particularly like Liam (she likes Noel’s solo songs more than oasis who she doesn’t really like barring the master plan, champagne supernova, some might say and a few others) even she begrudgingly loves I’m a wheel. It’s a shame it’s not the 3rd single.
Best moments on LP; chorus to Mars to Liverpool, 2.30 onwards I’m a wheel, epic guitar solo on you’re not the only one, instrumental bit and final chorus just another rainbow.
Also loving make it up as you go along a lot more now. It feels like the digsys dinner, she’s electric, married with children of the LP which is no bad thing

I usually like it when one of the Gallaghers go on the Jonathan Ross show but I thought Ross was a total shit last night. Not just obviously to john but also to Liam asking him to call his dogs name out. All the interviews with Liam/john the interviewer has always been respectful of John’s immense talent and are aware of John being introvert/shy whether that’s Zoe ball, Johnny Vaughan (who because he was funny also made John smile, be more at ease), Dave Berry, the absolute radio interviews in Italy etc. Ross was just going for the cheap laugh angle. Talking of cheap laughs, Rob Beckett was also a total twat (no surprise there then) with his taking the piss out of John remarks. I did think at one point John would’ve walked out bee gee’s Clive Anderson style. No way Ian brown would’ve put up with that Ross is a proper bellend. Pity that John or Liam didn't deck him. Most of those so called interviewers are just entertainers for cheap laughs and clickbait headlines. And that's what the society calls "entertainment". Not for me, I rather stick my head into the oven than watch those talk shows.

Wow that live performance is one of the worst liam's performance since he went solo The verse is decent but on the chorus his voice is so nasal and it's always flat

Wow that live performance is one of the worst liam's performance since he went solo The verse is decent but on the chorus his voice is so nasal and it's always flat I prefer that to what he used to do in Oasis where if he couldn't hit the note he would just shout it on the DBTT tour or just spit out the word short without trying on the DOYS tour. Plus I think it's a slightly unfair comparison because all the Beady Eye and solo songs were written with his range in mind so they were going to be more comfortable while a lot of the songs on this new record are going to really test him, they also played a lot of Oasis songs down half a key on recent tours which fans didn't notice so tbh I don't think he's really any better or worse now than he has been since going solo. I think he did have a bit more range on the AYW tour than he's had before or after that but he'd had like 4 years off. I think with his voice now it's hit a baseline that isn't going to vary much from tour to tour, the chorus of this one is just at his limit and I'd rather he went a bit nasal and flat than try to shout it or cut the line short.

TV mixes are always shit anyway, you can barely hear the bass and keys.

Was the interview that awful? People seem pissed off by John's attitude, but is he any different than back when he was with the Roses in the early 90s? I'm genuinely asking since I can't watch the show from belgium personally thought Jonathan Ross was shit, asked pretty bad questions & didn't really ask about any of the songs or process behind the album. He was more focused on bringing up Noel (as usual) and poked a lot of fun at John for simply being himself. Can tell John is an introvert so i felt bad for him a little bit getting laughed at for just being chill. It read differently to me. I felt like John was having a great time trolling Ross with his one-line answers. It looked to me like he was enjoying himself.

Number one with Defined Universal Sales figures of 39,427 39,642 for "Council Skies" Brothers I'd been wondering why people kept saying the LGJS album was "niche" and not a mainstream project, and these numbers seem to directly contradict that claim. Who's to say it's a niche project if it's getting the same numbers as Noel's "normal" album?

Jonathan Ross has always been shit and I've never liked him and the same goes for that other twat Graham Norton.

I'm surprised that they didn't do their new single on Jonathan Ross last night rather than Mars To Liverpool.

I enjoyed that live performance. I guess i have something wrong on my hearing. Also the album is really solid and i didn't expect that. Good times for us fans to still get good music from Gallaghers.

I think it was a great performance tbh, I think sometimes we tend to overanalyze Liam's voice. Sounded very good to me

He’s normally gelled with Jonathan Ross better than Graham Norton etc in the past but seemed more awkward last night. Still funny though. He’s definitely better with the radio bunch

Can’t wait to hear some more live versions of the songs
Love Mars to liverpool, Just Another Rainbow and you’re not the only one …but like them all really.
Was initially thinking when they play live they would need another guitarist to fill out the sound but listening to the Johnathon Ross performance I think it works, there’s a lot of space so you can hear everything, nothing is drowned out, even Liam’s shaker, thought it was good he was using it for a specific part rather than more of an image thing, sounded good too.

I thought Liam sounded great, there.
Better a human performance like that than the over-processed, Robo-Liam shite that they put on his albums.
