(Stranded On) The Wrong Beach In the Heat of the Moment Do the Damage Black & White Sunshine Rattling Rose Blue Moon Rising I feel like I mostly see people people speak positively about In the Heat of the Moment (which I like as well). Agreed about The Wrong Beach, though. That one is sneaky, hiding there toward the end of the album, but it's so much fun. And Rattling Rose is one of my favorites off the EPs, second only to Sail On.

I love Freaky Teeth demo and live version.
Not keen on the album version of (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach, but live version is stunning. Also opening with Do The Damage in 2015 was my favourite NG gig.

Not really HFB related... but Teotihuacan is among the best things Noel has ever done. Between this and the better moments of Giants, this should've been the direction of Mk II Oasis. Agreed, this colder sound is great and the whole Fuckin' in the Bushes - Go Let It Out - Teotihuacan vibe is great

I love Stranded On The Wrong Beach and Do The Damage and they are very underrated songs. The same goes for Black And White Sunshine and In The Heat Of The Moment. Although the na, na, nas can be a bit anoying at times.

Dead in the Water has no place being on WBTM and shouldn't have such a prominent position in his live sets.

"Dead To The World" sounds like NGHFB covering Coldplay covering "Sunday Morning Call."

I think Pretty Boy is far superior to anything off Chasing Yesterday (barring Riverman & The Song Remains...).

Pretty Boy is a very, very good tune. Great mood.

Pretty Boy is a very, very good tune. Great mood. I felt so confused about the public backlash a year ago, when it was released. It's a fantastic tune, unlike anything Noel has ever done (while still somehow remaining in his comfort zone), pleasantly dark and almost menacing in its monotous way. I think it even holds up to A Forest by The Cure, to which I guess he was aiming for in the end. I suppose it's mostly the lyrics and the imagery of the "lyric video" that confuses his usual audience (EDIT: no harm intended, I'm in there as well) but there you go. Btw, I believe Noel's weakest record is his debut, despite the collection of songs actually being the best he ever had on its own to record and to choose from as a whole. It's just the production that's hard for me to enjoy.

For me, it's just the melody that's bad/trite af but I quite like the instrumental.

Hearing Pretty Boy live changed my mind on the track. Really motors along and the chorus feels bigger. Recorded track is still a tough love for me.

Rob smith’s remix changes pretty boy for me, but I’m also a cure fan anyway. Live version gives a diff direction to the recording, both plain to me somehow but yea, proves that there’s no point reproduce album at live gig.

I don't dislike the studio version, it's one of Noel's better produced tracks by himself, but its just a wee bit lightweight. Could do with being a bit beefier in the production ala Robert Smith version.

It's a good song with a good production. But still a weird choice as first single of the album

Dead In The Water is a bang average song. I think people just liked hearing Noel alone with the acoustic but the actual song itself isn't really that great.

I love Wandering Star and Don’t Stop.
“All of the dreams you have I have them too And all of the songs I sing I wrote for you”
“From time to time, though we're whole words apart You will still hold a groove in my heart From time to time, we will fall side by side You still have that look in your eye”
I think these are some of the most beautiful lyrics he’s written.

Unpopular Opinion - NGHFB album sounds great to me.
Other than the slight "thinness" of Sardy's production style, I think it sounds excellent.
Council Skies has weird production/mixing - it almost sounds mono or something. Very strange.
