Gimme some time to acclimatise, take in the fact we got these 15 songs in a row which were unthinkable in the 00's Oasis days, fly back home, fire up the Mac Mini, patch up the shockingly bad live mix which LG unfortunately and unexplainable always has, and I hope to deliver... A little taster.

Great gig. Tbh I didn’t hear Liam’s voice properly most of the time bc of people around singing along but when I heard him he sounded very good! Lock All the Doors is a treat, surprisingly. The stage production is gorgeous. I never could’ve imagined that I’m gonna listen to I’m the Walrus live 🥹 I will believe ❤️🔥

Everyone has songs by their favourite bands that aren't universally liked by the broader fanbase but they just love for some weird reason and Lock All The Doors is mine, both versions, I've loved it ever since the demo leaked and I really like what they've done with that rough demo here. I was already excited to see the gig on the 11th but knowing I'm going to get to hear something I've always wanted to hear but never in a million years thought I would makes me so happy. I'll acknowledge it's probably not a great song objectively and Noel's version is very dad-rock-y but for some unexplained reason I just love it you have no idea how happy I am that it's getting played on this tour. First Ive heard that Lock All The Doors isn't a well loved song. Don't get the whole dad rock tag I'm seeing on this thread about it either. It's a great song. What're people expecting. Oasis never was a heavy rock band. Dad rock, whatever that is (if Lock all the Doors is representative )is what Oasis is. And when not dad rocking, they were doing ballads on the pop rock side of things. Supersonic, and Morning Glory, maybe Bag It Up are about as heavy as it gets.

Literally not seen a duff tune...immense!! Just holding out for the festival coverage to hear this. Only thing not sure on the super cropped hair..its heading towards dreaded buzz cut beady eye 2014 uber receding temples territory.

What was the Merch situation like at Cardiff? Was it the same with the limited edition posters?

I loved that haircut and thought he looked amazing with it. I'm looking forward to Thursday. Now in London, currently enjoying a vegetarian British breakfast.

Interesting that in pretty much every video I've seen, Liam is asking for his monitors to be turned up. His voice is great on this tour so far, but his timing is slightly off quite a lot. I know he's said before that he doesn't like in-ear monitors so wonder if he's using wedges. Tbf, he's spot on towards the end of the HTWA video above, it's just the start that he's out.

Half the world away really works with his current voice, doesn't it? I really dig the low notes.

So, just going back over the setlist, it seems like the only DM tracks we didn't get were:
SAD SONG - seems an odd omission, given he's done it quite recently, and is the only 'album' track missing
ALIVE - also feels odd to be absent, and possibly would have made more sense than the unreleased LOCK ALL THE DOORS (though it's awesome we got that after all these years, obviously!)
LISTEN UP - gutted about this one. Epic tune, key to that era, probably the one I'm saddest to have absent.
TAKE ME AWAY - not necessarily expected but, given SPACEMAN and HALF THE WORLD AWAY got in, it would have been a nice addition
STRANGE THING - again, probably not expected but - also again - possibly a more likely one to include than LOCK ALL THE DOORS
If anyone sees Liam, can you ask him nicely to make Manchester a 25-track setlist and/or let us know why these five missed the boat?...
TWB
(PS: Not complaining at all, this gig is clearly BIBLICAL)

Liam is set to be on for an hour and a half at Sziget, I wonder what his setlist will be. How much time will he get at other festivals?

Half the world away really works with his current voice, doesn't it? I really dig the low notes. Sounds great. Take Me Away and Alive getting a run out would be the cherry on the cake. He seems defiant and gracious with the lock all the doors and HTWA - sticking it to Noel in a musical way. Enjoy comrades enjoy!

Pretty sure he had a hair transplant around then, thats why he had his hair short I was thinking more along the lines of getting a prosthetic head, which would explain the vocal improvements, too…. God bless.

Again this make sense as festival crowds not gonna enjoy unknown b side songs I hope he’ll do longer set this time but doubt it

I cannot wait until he murders Step Out for the Morning Glory Tour.
Would have been such an anthem on Morning Glory with Liam on Vocals.
That YouTube edit with Liams vocals is my most replayed Oasis track.

And when not dad rocking, they were doing ballads on the pop rock side of things. Supersonic, and Morning Glory, maybe Bag It Up are about as heavy as it gets. Even though I've never agreed with it I can kind of understand why people think Noel's version sounds very dad-rock and both versions have weak verses imo. I've always looked it like a lost Oasis classic because the chorus is really strong, I think it's a melody worthy of being released as an album track or B side from 94-96 and I don't understand why Noel paired that verse up with such a weak song like My Sister Lover but it is what it is. I'm certain that if the version Liam is singing now was released as a DM B side it would be universally loved but I think the HFB version has tainted peoples opinion of the song and as much as I love the chorus Noel just doesn't pull it off in the same way and the verses and backing music in the HFB version didnt do the song justice and as a result it's kind of been written off by the broader fanbase.
