We haven't seen not even 1% of what could be the future of AI capabilities. That's a very short sighted view by Noel. The future of music (and not only music ofc) will definitely be disrupted. Music creation imo at first will be aided by AI and then later could be perfected by AI and will dominate the popular music. There could be still space for human created music but it will be in the minority compared by popularity. |

Not gonna lie, sounds a bit like "Rap ain't music." There's really no conceivable future where AI can make art? Even if conscious? When AI starts kicking out competent full-length films, that won't be a form of art? Even in its current state there are still people directing the AI, which isn't always simple to do. It can take time and effort to get the correct settings to produce something close to or exact to what you want. |
