Also ... Liam vocals on A Simple Game of Genius. Plus... These still need Noel's vocals in there somewhere. Shame nobody has done that.

Can't believe some people think this is good
Doesnt even sound like an early Liam demo from the early 90's, just sounds like some wannabe Liam impersonator doing a bad job while drunk at karoke.
IF it sounded very close to Liam's voice then that would be cool but so far in these early days of this ChatGP music thing its pretty bad

Some of these are definitely bad. I think some of them are good or in the ballpark. Best not to paint with a broad brush. If you're claiming not one of the AI Liams floating around are good, then I think you haven't heard them all!

I do think they are good quality, but I feel like I cannot listen to them as they are not even real

I'm glad people are coming around to the innovative nature of this technology here, rather than acting like a dinosaur. This isn't going to replace artists or vocalists, and based on some of the work like Jek Spek does, it will be used in the intermediate to repair and polish vocal performances rather than replace people and industries entirely. I will say based on the research I've done with elevenlabs.io, audiobook narrators may be out of a job.

I think you're right about the future of audiobooks, that career is in imminent danger unless you have a truly unique voice. The average joe in the field will be shown the door.
Musicians should also be worried (and adapt). They will need to start utilizing AI technology to produce their songs faster and more frequently to keep up with the influx of new material from more artists than ever before. The tech will benefit indie artists who might lack the funding for equipment and/or connections to land a recording session.

I can see this being a genre by genre domino effect if anything. The amount of AI covers and fake songs in that genre is alarmingly indistinguishable from the actual artists in many of these. The rock and pop ones are dodgy still.

Well, most artists make money from touring nowadays, so until people are only willing to go see Gorillaz type of concert, they should be fine. But it will change the music industry no doubt, at least the pop side of it. Fake pop stars will be really fake. that's where the change will occur. Still, its a world that's already very fake : gigs with pre-recorded vocals, the "face" not singing on the record is as old as the music industry. Independant artists will still exist I think, because they have an audience that want the "real" thing. They the rise of piracy, survived itunes, the death of cds, streaming, covid... etc But surely there's gonna be less money to be made, or it will be harder. But that's 50 years down the line. The industry is already multiples industries in reality. So the fake one will be even faker. The "human" one can co-exist on the side. Just like Organic food and fast food. Id say big movie stars are more at risk.

The Noel one's are good. Genuinely sound real. The Liam one's singing Noel songs aren't great unless they have been tuned down a key or two because Liam doesn't have the vocal range of Noel.

this one is almost perfect
if someone had tried to sell it as some kind of unreleased recording 5 years ago we probably would have believed it. there's a few glitches obviously but other than that it sounds like it's actually liam singing in 1997

A few fuck-ups in the last chorus, but the first half is stunning.

the AI model Video Vault uses is getting very good. These two are very very good. i don't think he touches them up much manually either (hence the few glitches). He pumps out a lot
they're very clear

Forgot how good that "In my well-paid opinion..." turn was. Shame the rest of the song is so forgettable.

Shame the rest of the song is so forgettable. Genuine question: why do the B sides from this era get so routinely derided? I have seen it a lot on here. I've never understood it. I find myself regularly going back to them -- I Got The Fever, My Sister Lover, Flashbax, The Fame, Going Nowhere, I loved them at the time and I still love all of them, absolute bangers.

Surely someone is going to do full on and stop the clocks soon! FFS! Why has nobody (Looking at you, Star Shaped Tambourine!!!!) done Stranded On The Wrong Beach? One of the only songs that I genuinely feel he wrote with Liam's voice in mind

Surely someone is going to do full on and stop the clocks soon! I need a proper version of 90's Liam singing The Masterplan. That dwarfs all other requests, for me. There's one out there, but it wasn't a proper job. He sounds like Lawrence Lewellyn-Bowen on the verses.
