Mother dolphins use baby talk to call their young recordings show. I wonder if orcas do the same after all they are actually dolphins. Infact I wonder if all whales do too.

This makes me so angry, one third of all vertebrate species are exploited by humans. Some people need educated on animals but that said they don't care.

Thank you stewards for not forcing Herve Gilles' 2 other horses to run at Bernay. I don't think anyone wanted them to.

This is heartbreaking, marine heat waves are causing mass sea bird die-offs, beach surveys show.

I learned this month that we murder over a billion sentient, living creatures per day. It's almost unthinkable to realise how we have knowingly made this beautiful planet into a living hell for trillions of the beings who live here. For those of us who have the knowledge of it and the tenable option to engage otherwise, it's hard to make a case against doing so based on this moral argument alone. Forget the personal health and massive environmental impacts, both of which are similarly hard to get past with honesty. That's just heartbreaking, sadly though with the way our planet is going it's not surprising and it's shameful what we've done.

Hundreds of dead birds have been removed in Aberdeenshire over fears of the latest strain of bird flu.

Birds aren't daft, I've just read that they get revenge by using anti-bird spikes in their nests. Birds are just wonderful and amazing.

An antelope faut off wild dogs in Africa only to be had by a crocodile. How unlucky can you get. I love antelopes they're one of my favourites.

Iceland have suspended commercial whaling this year but what about banning it for good? They need to do this and the same goes for Japan and Norway who still allow these sickening hunts.

Hot on the heals of Friday's world orca day, chimpanzee day and shark awareness day, today is Guinea Pig Appreciation day. Such cute little animals.
