I've just read on the BBC news pages that an intire pod of 55 pilot whales have died after a mass stranding on a Western Isles beach early this morning. It's always really heartbreaking when ever this happens.

Yesterday's whale standing were the biggest ever in the UK and it's a race against time to do the postmortems to try and find out why it happened.

On BBC One tonight at 8pm there's a documentary about why sharks kill. I'll have to watch it as I bet it'll be interesting.

On BBC One tonight at 8pm there's a documentary about why sharks kill. I'll have to watch it as I bet it'll be interesting. I watched this and it was really interesting, a couple of theories mentioned about why sharks attack or kill humans, one could be that sharks don't like humans in their territory or it could be because sharks don't have good eye sight and they mistake humans for their prey. |

Sadly another dead whale has washed up on the Kent coast this time. It's believed to be a humpback whale and people have been told to stay away from the erea.

I think that when whales and dolphins etc beach is one of the cruelest things in nature and it's one thing that I wish we could change but sadly of course we can't.

A young orca seeks human help to rescue its entangled mother who got tangled in a fishing net. Luckily there was a boat nearby who responded to the young orcas cries.

Some great news, Belgium are to ban import of hunting trophies of endangered species. Good. Now we need the UK to do the same. Our ban is almost there but it's got one more stage to pass in the Lords first.
