I saw a lovely squirrel outside my kitchen window first thing this morning. They're always welcome.

I saw that lovely rabbit at tea time outside my kitchen window. I'm glad that it's still around as I hadn't seen it for a good few weeks.

Another great episode of Spy In The Ocean last night, sadly it's the last one on Sunday as there's only four episodes.

This is not good, sharks are more in danger of going extinct than first thought. Sadly though, this isn't surprising.

Today is world rain forest day. We should look after them and not destroy them.

Some good news, the second reading of the trophy hunting import ban has passed through the Lords. However, it's still got to pass the final stage yet before it can become law.

A global monkey torture ring has been exposed by the BBC. The torture ring started life on YouTube before moving to private groups on the messaging app Telegram. Police are now pursuing the buyers and have already made some arrests. Sadly there's far too many animal torture videos on YouTube and social media.

There's been a first sighting of a mink whale in Cardigan Bay since 2013. Whales and dolphins are wonderful creatures.

There's a new wildlife channel on Freeview (not that there was any on there before), however it's a bit disappointing.

In today's paper there's a double page article about the dark side of keeping whales and dolphins in captivity and it's just horrific. And, sadly these sort of places have doubled in the past few years in China. Whale And Dolphin conservation are fighting to end these sort of places for good and I support them all the way.

Another excellent episode of Spy In The Ocean last night. Sadly though that was the last one of the series. It's certainly been one of the best which they've done with the spy cameras and it's certainly one of my favourites.

Some good news a species of the marsh butterfly is on the increase in the Lake District. They've been endangered for a long time so it's good that their numbers are increasing there.
