Awww,I'm so pleased that Springwatch have now got a live barn owl nest as well. I absolutely love and adore these birds they're so beautiful and lovely.

Today is world ocean day. Sadly though, so many of our oceans are polluted which is harmful to marine animals.

Did you know that without whales and their poo we wouldn't have enough oxygen to breathe? It's true and whales play an important part for our planet. They're amazing creatures and I love them and I love dolphins too.

I didn't realise that collared necked doves were in decline until it was on Springwatch about it last night. Mind you, I don't see as many around here as what I used to.

There's a report on Focusing On Wildlife about how animals evolved with bright colours without being eaten.
I love seeing their beautiful colours especially birds.

How stupid can some people get, a woman was nearly gored by a bison at the Yellow Stone Park for getting too close to it to take a photo. Why are some people so bloody stupid.

I saw two lovely sparrows playing today on my travels to work. I didn’t know birds could play like that. Endearing creatures they are.

A new species of grasshopper has been found in Texas and has been named after country music star Willie Nelson.
It's always good to read about new species of animals and insects especially with wildlife being so fragile.

There's a new series of Our Planet (Our Planet 2) now available on Netflix from today. I wasn't expecting another series as I thought it was just a one off.

I forgot to mention that a female crocodile has made herself pregnant which is the first reptile to do so in the so called virgin birth.
Apparently it's been found in birds and fish but never a reptile.

Kestrels are absolutely beautiful birds and my second favourite bird of prey after barn owls but sadly they're in decline and have been for a long time.

Well, sadly it's the final episode of Springwatch 2023 (that's gone quickly), then we'll have to wait until Winterwatch next year now that the BBC made a stupid decision to axe Autumnwatch.
